I have dysautonomia, if I just drink water, I get dehydrated. I have to take salt tablets. So does my oldest daughter.

Be careful because sodium intake is associated with high blood pressure, stomach cancer, and inflammation. Keep it under 2300mg sodium*, or maybe even lower - American Heart Association recommend below 1500mg*. If you're eating any processed food or out at restaurants then you're likely exceeding this. If you're sweating a lot from exercise then you could consume a bit more.

Edit: per day*

I don't understand. To much water bad, because not enough sodium. Dehydration also bad, because also not enough sodium?

Do you mean, in case you sweat all the sodium out? That's not really a dehydration issue, but a electrolyte issue

Dehydration causes confusion because your body isn't getting enough... Sodium? Is this satire? 🤨 The opposite is true. Too much sodium contributes to dehydration. Sodium is necessary, yes, but no one really needs to worry that much about not getting enough of it. The vast majority of people consume plenty on a regular basis without even realizing it. In fact, it's far more likely that a person is consuming too much than too little.
