I've been practicing Silat and Escrima since 1993 and Taiji, Bagua and Xingyi since 2008. I like practicing slow twisting and circling steps with blades. It nourishes my brain and I circulate my chi to stay healthy and massage my internal organs to stay soft and limber.
The first thing I would teach someone is how to relax and root and circulate Qi. After relaxing, someone can learn basic Gong Fu!

I guess it depends on what exactly you drink, my TCM doctor in China said that you can't drink herbs all the time to fix yourself (because of toxicity), you gotta change your diet and life style first so there is nothing to be fixed (cold foods like salads, juices, dairy, keeping myself warm in my case). But one can incorporate herbs into daily cooking, that's what Chinese do. I even learned to do the same trick with Western food. But I guess it's easier in here China. When it's all around you, and your cleaning lady knows more than you even you read several books on TCM and think you nailed it :))

You can take all the herbs, supplements and foods you want, however beneficial they are. But if you don't take away the mental programs, thoughts, actions, behaviors and activities that take away from what the herbs, supplements and foods are meant to do, they will barely work. Sometimes not at all... There is no way around this fact. 'Addition' is critical in the restoration and maintenance of health relative to the entire mind-body system, but subtraction is the often overlooked key to the equation working as nature intended this is critical to understand and practice in terms of TCM philosophy (and the existential process of life as a whole).

I used Ayurvedic bulb enemas, coffee bulb enemas, herbal bulb enemas and olive oil bulb enemas for detoxing, fitness, health, wellness, disease, illness, sickness, pain management, weight management and clear glowing healthy younger looking skin just to name a few since 1995 when I was a 13 year old yogi practicing hatha yoga.

You dont need to take herbs everyday, just eat a healthy diet to allow the body maintain homeostasis. Herbs can be used when this homeostasis is upset.
