I have the pleasure of being Lincoln’s speech therapist for a little over a year and half. I assist Lincoln with advocacy of his communication and on different modes of communication so he can communicate with anyone and everyone. He is such a special kid these kind comments are so beautiful ❤

The way he communicates is incredible. If either of you (dad or kiddo) are reading this, know that your relationship inspires others

He's so mature for his age. I thought he was a later teenager or even an adult. He said he's mentally the same but honestly he sounds a lot smarter than any 11 year old I've interacted with lol.

Woohoo, Lincoln! A shower is coming your way, my friend! Only one hour in and the GoFundMe has already received 5k toward your accessible shower! I’m excited for you and your family! Wishing your current nurse the best of success in New York. Her grandmother is lucky to have as her caregiver.

I think it's really important to show that Lincoln can communicate, and I think focusing on him instead of his dad when he talks is a really nice way to portray it. I love how this channel does little things like this to humanize the people they interview!

14:14 - Eleven?! My jaw just dropped. I thought we were listening to a teenager or early twenty-something. This kid is SO eloquent and well-spoken. Incredibly bright for his age.

Did anyone else look and listen hard and study his face and lip movements really hard and start to be able to see and hear some of what he was saying?
It’s so subtle I didn’t even notice at first.
What an incredible young man and family.
This is one of my favourite episodes. 😊

This young man has the vocabulary of an adult. He’s 11 going on 30! I’m am amazed at his conversational skills. What 11 year old asks about work-life balance? They usually don’t have a clue it’s a thing! Bravo parents!

Lincoln, I have a friend with your disability, unfortunately he can't move his mouth, arms, anything. He is GREAT at communicating, he communicates with his eyes, which I think is SUPER COOL and it must take ALOT of patience for people like you and my friend. Keep being AMAZING

Lincoln, you did it!! I could not be more proud to be your first speech therapist, and most dear to my heart, your friend of 9 years. Your kindness resonates through this interview, and you told your story so beautifully. Continue teaching the world; you make such a positive impact on everyone lucky enough to meet you ♥️
Thank you, SBSK, for giving Lincoln the spotlight to share his story. We cannot tell you how meaningful it was to meet you. 🙏

Until they mentioned his age I just assumed him to be AT LEAST 19 years old.
'I did it' yeah, he made it happen, he has such a strong will and maturity for a 11 year old boy!
I love that he reached out and that you made it happen because I see him becoming a GREAT advocate for his community ❤ I can tell his parents did a great job raising him.

I NEVER donate NEVER, after seeing sbsk donate 1k to this family for his shower I just couldnt ignore that and had to throw in a 5er. I've been a fan of sbsk from 2019 and Chris Ulmer is absolutely the pinnacle of human empathy (not pity) This man has NEVER acted like he pities his guests, acts like hes better, or if they're any different. I suffer from extreme Bi-polar disorder to the point where I have to ask myself sometimes am I fit to be in public and I'm SO THANKFUL my disorder doesnt force me to be trapped in a body that doesnt work well or not at all. Thank you Chris, for everything that you do showing people that handicapped people are people too! You have been blessed with good looks, good personality, fingers crossed good youtube money, a good woman, and I hope you live a LONG life for all the good you're doing!

LINCOLN
I am so incredibly proud of you!!
Over this past year, I have watched your confidence flourish and my favorite part is hearing your voice more! I am so blessed to have watch you grow from just a tiny baby into an amazing preteen! This entire experience has been incredible. Watching you want something so badly, go for it, and achieve such a goal is truly inspiring!! You are a role model for so many around the world, and sharing your journey helps other people in their everyday lives. Cheers to celebrating such an accomplishment! I love you so much! ❤ Aunt KitKat

If Lincoln's parents read this, I want to let them know that they are doing everything right. I have a Client with the same type of myopathy who was also told he wouldn't live and he is now in his twenties! You reminded me a lot of that family, watching this. They also have such a great bond and the young man is very intelligent also. He uses the little mobilität in his right hand to control a motorized wheelchair, he ŵas a very good Student and is still able to work on his computer. I wish you the best and hope you will have many more years to enjoy your life together. ❤
