Really? I would expect a bit more detail from Roku on an important subject like this one. But really? "Just plug it into a different TV and start streaming." That is about the most vague and unhelpful thing I've heard today. My Roku won't show on the screen, I've checked all the connections more than three times already and it's worked up until today. To add, my Roku remote won't even connect to the Roku as the light does not flash when any of the buttons are pressed and the tiny reset/connect button on the remote doesn't work either. I probably won't get a reply but if this problem isn't resolved I either want a non defective Roku or my money back.

This did actually prompt me to turn the power off and on again, after the stick showed a blank screen following me having watched a programme. The power back on fired the stick up again! Thankfully

I've had a Roku USB stick for about 4 years. No major problems. I upgraded and without warning, the screen goes blank. I tried the suggestions on the video (with the exception of plugging it into another television) with no improvement. What I would like is both a clear explanation and further options to address the issue.

i had issues, black screen after logo shows up and had sound..after choking the remote and verbally abusing it, switching every cable x2 . i lookd it up and landed here this vid sux but comments were helpfull ..it finally kicked on, . been workin better than expected since i have low bandwidth.. registration site blows need a credit card and times out so have your info handy before u go to the web site. good luck all

I'm done with Roku. I can't get mine to work and it's less than four months old. This video is very unhelpful and their website has guesses to issues. I'm switching to some other provider when this pandemic blows over.

This doesnt talk about the roku logo bouncing and then going black. It also doesnt discuss what it means when the white light is double blinking after logo disapears.

I know this is a late comment, but I have a Roku 2 XS and I was watching a show on the spectrum app and it just stopped working another won't turn back on. I've tried everything to get it back on but it won't do anything. Although the light will flash but that's all. If you could reply I would really appreciate it.

If it doesnt work on your tv and you have the kind that has 2 cords(hdmi and usb), use a cell phone charger power supply instead of the port on the back of your tv.The usb output on our old Emerson flatscreen (2011) did not output enough power to properly run the roku, but it worked great when plugged into a charger base.

You know what does work? Amazon Fire TV stick. Thanks for a real craptastic device Roku. See ya. Cuz this is officially the last one I’m buying. It worked past the point I could return by about a month.

We just bought Roku. It boots with Roku display then craps out to black screen / no signal. Tried different ports and different HDMI. Also ran it through my Xbox one with no luck. Faulty? Should I bother wasting my time with a replacement?

My problem with roku device is that is doesn't want to turn on, it's been plugged to the an alectric plug and it's doesn't want to turn on, i don't know why it give me these problem, maybe the roku device is stop working

I did exact what was shown and even placed the device on a different screen. The light is on, the device is firmly connected, and everything that it has been connected to works. There is still no picture. So what do we do next?

My Roku TV not player screen is black I audio is fine. I can click on netflix and hear the shows playing I just cant see it. My main roku screen EVERYTHING IS BLACK no picture at all. so does this mean that a tv I bought 1 year ago is already dead cuz the picture went out.
