Radeon better than Nvidia with budget CPUs? - 6700 XT vs RTX 3070 + Ryzen 3600 Benchmarks

Here is my investigation into whether or not Nvidia's driver overhead issues will make the new Radeon RX 6700 XT stand out against the RTX 3070 with a mid-range CPU like the Ryzen 3600. I detail 7 different benchmarks across 1080p and 1440p resolutions to see whether or not this is true!

There may have been more conclusive results with a slower cpu like a quad core cpu or a weaker Ryzen 5 like the 1600x

Hardware Unboxed was running the games on low graphics in their comparison, I’m not sure many people with these cards are gaming on low settings though, so this is probably a better comparison.

I don't think there was enough of ranged being tested and that the hypothesis can't be confirmed using this data. Even at the very best cpu you can buy which is the r9 5950x, these two cards can trade blows. But like we saw with the with hardware unboxed's videos, these problem mainly show on zen and zen+ architecture. With that data then the hypothesis is confirmed. Well now we know the 6700xt doesnt bottleneck with the 3600, great video!

but with the 6700xt did you turn on amd memory boost since you had a 3rg gen CPU, with it on it could change the scores by a lot

It looks like you didn't understand hardware unboxed video. If you test on high and ultra settings, the GPU is what's mostly gonna be the bottleneck so, you won't be able to see the effect of that Nvidia driver overhead. you need to test on low settings. Before anyone asks why anyone would play on low settings with those cards, they need to know that this issue affects all Nvidia graphics cards starting from GTX 600 series. Also, they need to know that a lot of people who play first-person shooters play on low settings for the highest frame rate/lowest input lag.

Should've used a weaker CPU like the 1600 or 2600 to demonstrate this better. The 3600 was a considerable jump over the others mentioned which reduces the effect of the CPU overhead problem that you're trying to show here. Not a good demonstration
