I have to say no. Just no to that lol. Unless you’re starting off of a doorway which is wrong the groove in the molding will never be of and use and is rarely actually flush to your flooring lol. You can possibly make it work if you’re only doing 1 room. But if you’re doing a whole house I would love to see anyone pull of using the groove on more than one doorway 😂. Use bona glue to adhere it to wood subfloor and liquid nails if on concrete. Almost all transitions I deal with on a daily basis have to be customized by the installer to actually have it be flush and look nice. That groove in the transition is there because some engineer had a bright idea that is just not practical.
