The irony of not being bored while watching a film about boredom. That’s talent. Well done Kariza

I spent 3 months in a hospital back in 2019. Over half the time was spent without my phone. I learned a few things about bordem and why we avoid it.

My mind went immediately to my problems and whatever was stressing me. Phones represent an escape. But because I didn't have my phone I was forced to reconcile my thoughts and fears but how uncertain my future was at that time. Being in a hospital unable to walk, talk or eat you can imagine I had a lot to worry about.

So instead of trying to push my anxiety away I chose to have faith that things would get better and pour the little energy I had into long conversations with my family members who were with me.

It wasn't easy and broke down several times, but it was necessary for me to go through thst in order to heal mentally.

As I regained my health I've carried the belief that bordem, being able to sit quietly in a room with your own thoughts is essential to life. If we can get past the intial urge to escape via our phones, we will find whatever troubling thoughts may come with bordem won't last and behind it all is true creativity and wonder.

need some time to let the soul breathe 💕 love this message and i always feel so guilty when not performing a certain type of productivity when it’s preached that time is money. It’s like people having their best ideas when they shower cause it’s when they’re actually relaxed and not trying to force stuff out. Also you’re an amazing storyteller and film maker! The ending shots felt reminiscent of a summer time type of happy film

Really good info - I feel for us smaller channels who make quality content being bored and coming up with original ideas is solid

Boredom, often seen negatively in our hyperconnected world, can actually boost creativity. Embracing moments of quiet reflection and disconnection from screens can lead to new ideas and inspiration.

I have no idea why your channel hasn't blow up that big yet. The cinematography, the delivery, the production. Everything is falling into a right place. Such a great work, Riza

Your home looks like a film set! Nicely done. Love the color grading as well. That's really tough to find a balance among all the things you love, so I found it is also important to set properly priorities. Otherwise, boredom becomes an escape from productivity. :)

too real, picking up your phone after you've mentally decided to take a break, the whiplash of embarrassment I've felt oml

This is the wholesome slide of YT, literally I'm doing the same experiment, step by step and REALLY it has good results. I've started eating without my phone and, god, the ideas I've got are amazing. Also, getting bored it gives the space to the introspection and it's where your deepest thoughts come out. For me, not using your phone and focusing more in you, it`s an outward journey

I remember thinking about this when I was a kid(I’m 19, so this wasn’t exactly forever ago). My thought process was basically, “everything we do in our lives beyond meeting basic needs is motivated by an aversion to boredom. We’re constantly doing something/being stimulated. Imagine what we could do if we just took time to be alone with our thoughts each day.” And of course I proceeded to become even more screen addicted than ever during subsequent years

i relate to the ‘noise’ part so much! it’s so much easier to focus when your brain isn’t cluttered with thoughts & ideas from social media. it’s a bit too boring and mundane but the quietness is everything.

I can relate to this video in sooo many ways. Our phones, computers, social medias etc. literally disconnects us from the real world. I realized it more now since I started to change my habits. It's like humans are intelligent creatures and they should think, they should take time to be creative than to just actively try to pass time over things. While our time is this precious, why do we try to make it pass this badly?
Ever since I started to realize things I started to just sit on my bed and dream. To think about anything that comes to my mind, to talk to myself, and let myself be my only friend. And let me tell you it improved my life so much. I mean I always was a dreamer, always was a thinker when I was a child. But actually spending time doing that is a whole another thing, and helped me get my life on track.
Thank you for making this video, it's really helpful
