What i particularly love about bb rows that, if performed properly, you should feel the entire back contract right to that mid-centre point of the spine where practically no other exercise hits.

My favorite part about the barbell row is that you’re really teaching the lat to not only contract hard against resistance, but also while simultaneously stabilizing your spine and your pelvis. I think it’s a great exercise for not only strength building for the upper body, but also educating the body on how to really stiffen the lats during all squat and dead lift variations.

The row hingedless is for definition and strength for Kombat MAP. The hinged is for mass and strength.

Well said. It's my go-to back developer, especially the Yates row. Also a fan of Pendlay rows when I'm wanting to develop pulling strength (90 degree back, resetting weight on ground every rep). I don't consider it a conventional if you reset the weight at the bottom, releases too much tension.

I actually did dumbel rows using a slight incline laying facing the floor...they are incredible imo...all lat, no cheating or lower back ...

Barbell rows are the #1 exercise for your lower back injury. Not spamming, saying this from personal experience. Those who got steel lower back are blessed and can perform this but those like me should probably avoid this.
