Coyote Chasing 5-Year-Old Was Like ‘Watching a Horror Movie’

An Illinois girl got the scare of her young life as a coyote chased her around her yard. Surveillance video shows 5-year-old Christine playing in her driveway as unbeknownst to her the coyote begins following. Suddenly, Christine turns around and realizes what's going on behind her, and screams. “It came up and around the tree,” she told Inside Edition. “Then he chased me to the house and I screamed.” No one in the family had ever seen a coyote in their neighborhood, which is outside Chicago. #InsideEdition

I once got chased by 5 of those, I can say this little girl was a lot braver than me.

When she ran he knew she was afraid and there for food. When she turned and faced it while screaming, it scared him away. For most wild animals if you act tough they leave you alone.

I was born in 1955, so by 1960 we roamed the neighbor in a big city. By 1997 our Son was born .We never ever let him roam the neighborhood let alone our front yard...That's how much times have changed. Even during grade school I made sure to walk him to and from and it's only 2 blocks...sadly not because of animals but because of human preditors. I'm glad little girl is okay...

When dealing with a sudden encounter with a predator, don't act like food. Food gets scared and tries to get away. If you act like food, you get treated like food. Act like competition. Get big. Get angry. Stand your ground.

It's amazing in these days and times you let your child outside un attended. Thank God the little girl screamed and faced the coyote. It saved her life, and mom get up off your behind and watch your child. smh
