Just remember to put your thread tape on in the direction the shower head spins. You did this right just for anyone at home.

Teflon tape needs to go on clockwise or the way the head is screwed on. You did this right, though some may not know this. Also holding the main wall attachment as you did is a good idea so you don't crack the pipe.

If you don’t have a metal brush use a scrub daddy or try to peel it off from the starting piece of tape

Did that but it leaked. I have carpal tunnel so thought I should tighten with a clamp wrench now it sprays out of the joint. How do I fix it? Teflon tape is on clockwise
