Anyone watching this, i followed this instruction to a T. Lesson learn: Triple the amount of adhesive on both sides. That 80mm gap between adhesive bead is far too wide, aim for 3-4 tube per side. You will not regret it. Add about 50-100mm horizontal bulk bead on the tray/aqua-line transition gap. Sit the liner like a tent (with the corner edge pointing up) for at least a day before installation, this will make the corner more sharp 90 degrees and get rid of any rounding. Spend a good 20min rubbing the adhesive through out the area of the liner. Pay closer attention to areas along bottom edge, and around the mixer. I cannot stress this enough! Good Luck.

0:27 "licenced shower installer" - I'm an Aussie and I find it hilarious Australia and NZ attach licensure to absolutely everything - so funny!

13:40 I'm confused as to why the silicone between the bottom of the frame and the shower tray has to go on the outside.
I would have thought it was better to put it on the inside to prevent water from getting underneath the frame

Can liquid nails be used as the adhesive, why I ask is that the plaster board has been treated with waterproof membrane?

Bit late to the party... but what's best practice if the new shower is going to be 1200mm wide and therefore sits on the tapered edge of a standard vertically installed GIB join? Can the GIB taper be partially plastered or do you recommend a better solution? There seems to be no information as to the correct procedure considering larger showers would generally cover standard gib joins in some way, especially with the vertical installation as shown in the video.

Great guide, thank you. If you're installing an enclosed shower like this, do you need to do any waterproofing beforehand?

I'm looking to install the exact same shape/style of shower. How much variance is there from shower to shower in terms of the install?
Can anyone tell me exactly which model/make this particular shower is? Thanks

Nice video m8. Helpful as. But I might have added a bead of silicone to the top and bottom extrusion to make for a quieter action on that door. Might be overkill but yeah, nah?

So nothing between the acrylic base and the door frame? 🤔

I have repaired two leaking showers due to the lowest screws attaching the frame to the liner and wall allowing water in. I suggest you smear the alu' frame, screw holes, screws with a load of silicon.
The bead of silicon he applied is insufficient.

So what happens if you changing from a bath to a shower when the floor is concrete.. so the waste can't be fitted

my house is over a hundred years old. the floor isn't level and the walls are not plumb. so lots to do with a plane trying to make it all work.the liner is easy but trimming the pan to sit level on the floor is a pain. no i cannot just put some cement down.
