Be a plumbing gentleman and grease the nut that holds the cartridge in and also the set screw and handle and of coursethe cartridge. Things will come apart in 10 or 20 years

That lock nut/ring is always fun when you have to cut it because it's so old, and someone used pliers to put it on, and hope you don't ruin the threads of the diverter valve... I've done that twice. Not a fun day.

Plumbers grease for the o-rings and that includes the one on the outside for escutcheon.. notice yours furled up.

U 4 got the white spacer for the chrome sleeve

Installed this valve last week but notice that the cold side has more volume pressure than the hot side when i shower. Is that a safety feature or is it a defect in the cartridge? I tried adjusting the cartridge but when I turn the handle all the way to hot the pressure is less than the cold side.

Always grease the new rubber gaskets so they wont burr or get cut when you install the new cartridge .

My like Deb, but my has a handle that you are screwed in. And eat it, you move it from hot to Cole and in it. The water the water comes out of the speak it. And then you pull that speaker down the locker in you could download it in a place. And it's supposed to come out with hot water or cold water and it doesn't do that.

This is a cartridge installation, not a valve installation.

Typical delta shower valve. Installer followed the instructions, and now it sticks way too far out of the wall, to where the trim barely covers near the handle. It looks like ass.

Don't use the black plastic trim piece to set you're depth, that's out way too far. Use a 1 x4 instead of a 2x4, thank me later. If you don't follow.my advice, you'll end up with that unsightly gap between the cylinder trim body and the handle. Not acceptable in my book.
