SpaceX is developing new spacesuits designed for extravehicular activity (EVA).
And the Polaris Program, funded by Shift4 Payments founder Jared Isaacman, will test out the new EVA suits during the first all-commercial spacewalk planned for later this year.
Isaacman will lead the Polaris Dawn crew into a higher Earth orbit than any human has been to since 1966. That record is currently set by NASA’s Gemini 11 astronauts who orbited the Earth at 1,373-kilometers. It is the highest altitude in our planet’s orbit that astronauts have been to and the furthest humans have been to aside from the NASA astronauts’ visit to the Moon. “This Dragon mission will take advantage of Falcon 9 and Dragon’s maximum performance, flying higher than any Dragon mission to date and endeavoring to reach the highest Earth orbit ever flown,” the Program announcement says.
Crew Dragon’s control and pilot system consists of a trio of touchscreen displays. The suit gloves are flexible and compatible with touchscreen devices.

I am old enough to have lived through the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo years. I found the Shuttle and the ISS a huge bore as these amazing project were not directly exploration ones. Without SpaceX nothing would have happened concernng the Moon and Mars for the rest of my days.

This dream is starting to become a reality (Mars, I mean, )... first massively more cost effective and efficient rockets, now EVA suits.... who can tell what's next for Spacex?

I think the biggest advantage of spacex suit over nasa suit is it has a good chance of actually getting completed.

Suits not only protects against pressure, temp, and radiation, but also against micro meteorites.
And in the end, they must remain comfortable and workable.
I trust that Elon & Co will achieve this sooner and far more affordable, as they can not burn taxpayers money.

Could've offered the internal specs of the space suits hand/glove gears, Which is more complex then any limb function.

The cost and time required for R&D of the SpaceX EVA spacesuit versus the new NASA EVA spacesuit will be similar in comparison to Starship R&D versus NASA's SLS. Comparison of the final products will also be similar. NASA projects are only about creating jobs to get politicians reelected. SpaceX projects are about making the best products possible for the lowest cost and in the shortest amount of time.

There is a lot more problems thing to make a flight suit into a space suit then radiation. Thermals, Life support, Impact, Mobility under pressure, traction, tool storage, etc etc. Saying a flight suit is just missing radiation protection is just silly.

Make one suit that can do it all..
Built in rad shielding, rebreather and comm. for 24/7 on board use. Along with various add on for off board use such as enviro. Unit, Gps/tracking, etc...
The 2000 movie "Red Planet" had lots of well thought out space stuff. Great movie too..
