This is the stuff that should be all over the news. Teams of very smart people working on and accomplishing something that contributes to the advancement of our species. Not the bs they show solely to divide people

What a feeling would it be standing there in the launch control room and watching your creation do its thing.
Every time I see starship launch…sends shivers down my spine.

At 69 years of age I remember watching the Mercury, Gemini and the Apollo launches. I always was extremely excited during launches but this technology being developed in real time by SpaceX is the future I've waited for my entire life. To me this is truly a dream come true. When my Tesla stock pops in a few years I will be ready physically and financially to take a ride. Thank you SpaceX team and Mr.Musk for all of your hard work. If I'm not fortunate enough to be around it's all going to animal rescue.

It blows my mind how little press this got. Incredible flight, can't wait til they try to land the booster on land

This looks like the most hype place to work as an engineer. That’s so cool they make it a big event with the entire spacex team to watch their hard work blast off into space

Proof that stainless steel was the best choice for this rocket. A little heavy, but cheap, easy to weld and fabricate. Even though plasma inside and out heated the skin of the flap bright yellow, the ribs mostly held it all together. A piano hinge style join of the flap to the body meant if any part survived, it would be operable. The tile and heat shielding look solvable now. This flight was a turning point in believability of the Starship system. Keep up the good work there at SpaceX!

I rember Sputnik, then the Vanguard fiasco and finally the Redstone. I could go on about everything since, but you get the idea. It is such a great pleasure to find that someone has again taken space travel seriously and had not only the finances but the vision and determination to put this project together. Thanks, Elon.
