Great analysis by Brandel Chamblee this weekend on Danny Lee's golf swing changes that got him 30 plus years since 2016 where Danny was 148th on tour in Distance and is now 7th with an average drive of 324 yards!! Yikes!!
But this is not surprising to us because we have been teaching this move for well over a decade! So you can rely on Wisdom in Golf to bring you the most up to date stuff but ahead of our time stuff too! That way you stay one step ahead of the competition and ahead of the curve!!

Hi Shawn. Always enjoy your videos. One thing which concerns me with this one is that it looks to me to encourage a flip. Currently I’m working on more rotation and passive hands. If I do this, yes I can gain club head speed, but at the expense of the club closing quicker ie a flip. Have I missed something?

Hey Mr 54 year old Geezer - this is yet another wonderful shot of wisdom and after a blissful afternoon at the range followed by 13 holes with my 9yo son (we missed dinner having lost track of time hehe), I will have to now head straight back to the range tomorrow to get this lesson ingrained into my system. Thanks to you, I'm now hitting the ball consistently further and straighter than ever before and scoring like a demon. All this after my nasty table-saw accident in January. It's a long way to come after months of assuming I'd never play golf again. You need to get your butt down to Sydney for some Aussie golf - you will have no shortage of admirers to show you around, starting with me! Cheers - 51 year old geezer, Dave

at 4:27 is the best explanation of how to use the legs in the golf swing that I have ever seen.

Hey Shawn. I bet that 8 iron felt super light after you were swinging that heavy sledge hammer. LOL. Great video. thanks! I'm going to forward this vid to friends who complain about their lack of distance.

Your swing reminds me of Kenny Perry. You two could be brothers. I enjoy your videos. Thanks!

Nice numbers Shawn. They look familiar ;- )) Tried this today and got my CHS up to 118, not consistently yet but a nice step in the right direction

Sean, states watching recently, the current ones with Sav. Great stiff. But I was missing this last component, the up and down movement. Not getting huge distance but seems like getting much better compression. ThankS

Thanks! Any of your videos you would recommend for overcoming the urge to hit? I practice at home and seem to do fine but when I’m at the course and see the distance to the hole my brain is like, “use your arms, chop at it!”. I love your free swinging arms video as it helped a lot! In your experience, do you think it’s more about lots of practice versus technique? Thanks again!

Thanks for describing the downward move. Never been an easy move for me. What about with the driver? Same move or different. Thanks.

Working on using the legs as this video instructs but I am curious about something, I don't see much if any raising and lowering in Sav's and Munashe's swings. Am I missing something? Thanks!

It's just like the `keep your left arm straight' during the backswing myth.

How do I get rid of the feeling that I'm going to hit it fat if I drop my knees in the downswing?
Thanks for the video.

@Shawn. If I use the ground to rotate my body out of the way around that front leg as a post will my hands and arms automatically the club correctly? So do I only have to think about pressuring into the ground with the left leg and turning the body out of the way?

You know what sucks? The perpetual motion drill is highly effective to show you where your club is bottoming out and it provides some much needed rhythm, but on the course, the club head gets mud and grass on it and you have to interrupt your rhythm when you go to hit your shot. That sucks!

The sledge hammer looks like my 6 year old Grandson hitting his Fairway Wood with little training. Legs and momentum!

Interesting concept, thank you! My pro has always instilled in me there's no problem rising up in the backswing, kinda like Francesco Molinari, but what are your thoughts on letting the lead heel rise off the ground during the backswing to lift up even higher, or are you a firm believer in keeping all of the lead foot planted throughout?
Cheers
Andrew

Can you further explain the numbers on your 8i hit there? On my home sim, I get around 108mph ball speed, over 8K backspin, and around 24 degrees launch for an 8i, for above 140y carry (bit more on a big draw). You are hitting it higher, half the spin, and way more ball speed. I'd realistically like to get another 10-15y carry throughout the bag, is ball speed my main goal for now? I know I don't do this squat move well at all, so I'm hoping that brings some improvement to ball speed.

Whatever happened to Danny Lee? I haven't seen him on a leaderboard in a long time.
