The finger test doesn’t always work and won’t always be reliable, the reason a normal mirror has a gap is because there’s a layer of glass added to help reflect the light which is what causes the gap but the person can always add an extra layer of glass to the 2 way mirror so that the finger test won’t work. The best ways to test it are to get a mini mirror, there will be a light different between the mini mirror and the 2 way mirror because light will transfer through the 2 way mirror making everything seem darker, the second way is to grab your phone, turn on the flashlight, go to your camera, and put the phone up against the glass and the room on the other side will be revealed

I am looking for that answer and can't seem to be able to tell since I put my finger to my unattached mirrors and there were no space between however on all the already attached mirrors, there's space between. It even appears there's less space between in outter edges of the mirror.

The only answer may be to take down the mirror enough to look behind then put it back...I guess.
