How I Deal with Neighbor's Security Cameras Aimed at My House, Part 1

This is my first step dealing with these invasive neighbors. Watch as I take other steps to protect my family. I only take steps which follow within the law.

Video cameras in Canada are not allowed to view anything but your own property or public property. This guy would be given a city order to remove or reaim that camera. But, I suggest you invest in a high power laser and point it at his camera.

I installed a camera system (8) at my house. We've had some issues with auto break-ins and mail theft in our nice neighborhood (Meth heads are awesome!). I told my immediate neighbors that I had done this and let them view my cameras to make sure they were okay with it. Every one of them asked if I could aim my cameras to shoot a little more of their houses/mail boxes. They didn't consider it spying or eavesdropping. They figured they were being protected by my cameras. I've had three of them ask for recordings for the police.

All my neighbors including myself have cameras, we all essentially have cameras pointed at eachother but to get visual of streets and sides. We all love the fact that if anything happens, it will be caught on multiple cameras.

This is what happens when you make friends with the people around you instead of being isolated and hostile towards one another.

My neighbor had cameras installed after a break in. One is aimed right at my house across the street. He came over when he saw me outside and said, hey man I don't want you to think I'm recording you and I said, no it's cool. If something happens to my house, I'll have footage of it.

Did you try to talk to your neighbor about this situation and let them know about your concerns? I would at the very least want to do that before I made assumptions about their intentions, picked up a camera, started filming their home, and posted it on the internet.

😮😮My uncle had a neighbor using a camera aimed at his window. He put a television on a table at that window and faced it toward the outside and played porn whenever he wanted privacy. The woman next door was outraged.

Try talking to your neighbors and setting up your cameras in co-ordination with theirs, so you cover each others blind spots. Do this with everyone on your street, and you'll create a zone along the street front where any intruder or criminal activity is recorded on multiple systems, so if one gets damaged or attacked, others have the footage to share with local police.

I just LOVE how the first thing this guy does is not ask his neighbor to point his camera away from his property, but rather begin declaring war on a security system.

I guess this is what happens when you don’t have peaceful communication with your neighbors.
I just set up my camera, at 1st it was aim at both yards, but now it’s only on my property.
Tomorrow morning I’m going right to my neighbors house and show them exactly what my camera can see.
I do not want my neighbors feeling Uncomfortable.

lol, my neighbors were glad when i set up my cameras. i even showed them what i was watching, and we talked and i made adjustments to catch their doors, and to avoid certain windows. and one neighbor even let me run a camera to their house to catch both our backdoors. and now all 3 of my neighbors have cameras and there are no blind spots between them. we even share access to ViewOnly the cameras that share property coverage.

Fast growing bamboo works really well. If you put in the protective growth ring for bamboo properly on your side it'll go under the fence and spread in his yard like hell.

For clarification, broadcasting a radio tuned to a station is not white noise (noise containing many frequencies with equal intensities.) For that, you can get close by tuning in between two stations. Good luck with your neighbors.

Plant a few tall viburnums against your fence, that will grow 10-12 feet tall.
