This is the song of my generation. It was released Oct 24th, 1971, nearly 50 years ago. "The Day the Music Died" is Feb 3rd, 1959 when a plane crashed that killed 3 of the biggest rock n roll stars - Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens

Don McLean, who wrote and recorded the original, sang the final verse, while the fantastic members of Home Free sang the earlier ones. Great reaction by you, as usual loveth, so thank you for that!! Here are a few song suggestions, since you asked! "Vincent" by Don McLean from 1972 concert. "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young from 1971. "One Less Bell To Answer" by The Fifth Dimension, "Try" by Blue Rodeo, "And When I Die" by Blood Sweat and Tears, "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" by Air Supply, "If" by Bread, "The Air That I Breathe" by The Hollies, "and "More Than Words" by Extreme! Keep up the great work on your excellent channel!

Cool reaction!
Did you know that this tune 'American Pie, ' is in the Top-5, of most pretentious songs of all times?
That is not a bad thing...
...Number 1 is 'Stairway to Heaven, ' by Led Zeppelin!

A brilliant cover of a classic song (with the original artist). You should try Don McLean’s Vincent (about the painter Van Gogh).
