I'm going to try this on my wife, her attitude has changed from when we first met. I wonder if it will revert her to her original self! I live in hope.

Here's my story. 2 vehicles both went bonkers after a strong lightning storm with rain. I tried water clearing additive in the tank, zip, tried gunk remover additives, zip...check engine light, total loss of power clunking down the road.
I saw this utube, read the comments and went with disconnecting both battery leads and grounded them both for 20 minutes then reconnected Took them for a long hard run & presto, works better than it has for many years with no problems and engine lights out. A bonus was my automatic tran shifted problem free for once.

Thank you.
I came across this video after taking my car to my regular shop. They are good guys and told me is was an issue with the PCM, but they could not fix it and I should take the car to the dealer. OH NO. I am a 64 old female and know better than to take my 2009 ford explorer to the Long story short this fixed worked for my issues.
You saved me a ton of money.
Thank you again.

Worked
I have a 2006 Chevy Aveo. The check engine light came on and Via my OBD code reader, I had a small evap code and an oxygen sensor code. I looked into both issues. The check engine light came back on and now I had those codes return and three new codes for throttle position sensor, peddal sensor and transmission module sensor. I changed them. The problem remained. . . . Now the car would run good for a few minutes and then run like crap and go into limp mode. ( no fuel pedal response and car ran like it had one or two dead cylinders)
I then removed and cleaned my MAF sensor checked and renewed all my major ground wire connections at my battery, starter, engine block, and body grounds. Bad grounds can effect sensors. . . .so they say. It ran even worse!!!!
I was at my mental end. I was almost going to take her into the back country and light her up 🔥.
Instead of throwing more money at this car I found your power control module reset. DID it step by step and
This car now runs better than
No check engine light = no codes.
It accelerates better, shifts better. . . . Like a new car.
You save us average Joe's from getting robbed by shop rates and shops that sell you more than you need and help us fix our own.
Good job my friend!!
I subscribed, liked and hit that bell.

Thank you very much for this video. I had excessive high revs and red hot exhaust. I removed the cat and the inside had something ratteling. It still ran high and hot. Replaced o2 sensor and still the same. Removed the plugs and they were soaked in oil. So i removed valve cover to replace the gasket and new plugs. Still ran high and exhaust hot. Cleaned injectors and throttle body. Cleaned idle air valve. Still ran high and hot exhaust. Watched your video and did exact as you said. Presto she back to 700 rpms and no more hot exhaust. Thank you very very much for this video. Saved me a 400 or more buck trip to a shop. Total parts 300 and now runs like brand new.

THANK YOU so much! The night before last I went out to roll up the windows in my Chevy 2011 HHR and left the key in the ignition. Yesterday about 5 pm, I got in the car to leave and saw what I had done, and of course the battery was dead. I put in on a charger for about 40 mins and then drove off. Immediately when driving up my street, something didn't feel right. I drove another mile or two, on 30 mph roads and noticed when I let off of the gas, the car would slow down, just like it would if it had a manual transmission. As I entered a road with a higher speed limit I finally realized the car was not up shifting out of first gear. Oh, no! I drove the car back home and started looking for answers on the internet and YouTube. Last night I tried a process to reset the transmission by turning the ignition key to position 2 and holding the gas pedal down for 15 secs then turning the key off and waiting 5 mins then starting the car. That had no effect. This morning I got back on the search engines and YouTube and found this video and watched it several times. It made sense to me. Reboot all of the computers. I said a prayer and followed the instructions exactly. IT WORKED!!! What a relief! The car has a lot of miles on it and the prospect of putting a new ECU in could have been very expensive and not a good investment at this point. Thank you so much again, sharing this knowledge has had very positive impact on my life, for real!

Working on my 2006 GMC Duramax, I accidentally and unknowingly knocked loose one of the plugs on ECU. After I finished what I was doing the truck started throwing non-communication codes between the ECU and the TCU along with some other codes. After much painful frustration and talking with Duramax pros I discovered the loose plug. Now all the other codes disappeared except the ECU and TCU codes. After many more hours of searching the internet and youtube as well as talking with the diesel pros I came across your YouTube video. It sounded good to me so I followed your instructions to the letter. Problem solved. No more codes! Thank you! I think I will finally get some sleep tonight,

I watched this because my 05 sable was running like crap, all the symptoms of everything gone wrong. After I watched this I tried it on my car. Follow his procedure. Now my car runs perfect. No check engine light anymore. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

Wow. Just disconnect both cables and short them. This will bleed off all power. 2 minutes. Job done.

I made a special jumper with alligator clips putting a 10 ohm 100 watt resister in series with the the jumper cable, adding protection and safety to protect the myriad of delicate complex programmable logic units modern autos have. I bought the 10 ohm 100 watt resistor and alligator jumper clips from Amazon. I used it to reset my wife's 2016 Cadillac SRX premium in operable electronic system. It drained the voltage of the electronic system from 1.2 voltes to 0 volts in 15-20 minutes. I would recommend using a voltmeter to determine when the transient voltage had been drained to 0 <zero> volts. To me the 10 ohm 100 watt resistor is a must.

Thank you so much I did what you said and now it starts and runs-But I would ad one thing-I took both cables off OF THE BATTERY-and put the cables to each other-And, not on the battery-And turned on the headlights to help drain the power-My car would not start AT ALL before-I did not like the idea of hooking the power from the battery to the negative -I will remember this for ever-THANKS
