I checked my keyboard in my brother's laptop. And it worked fine. But in my PC it had problems. I thought that USB port on the motherboard had problem.
I almost bought a new motherboard. You saved me big time.

My problem was a little different. My number _row_ wasn't working on laptop or external keyboard in Excel or Chrome. Wasn't a NumLock issue but I followed your steps and even though the MouseMove setting wasn't on, when I closed Settings, the number row started working. Weird.

Bravo! Hurra! Earlier I bought even new keyboard for my Accer laptop, and stil Num Keyboard did not work. I have red many sources in internet.

Microsoft is STILL tricking people into "turn on mouse keys." Just happened to me last week. It sounds like a good idea until your number pad stops working a day or two later. So don't bother reading "What's new in Win 10" after an update.
