When I moved here back in 2016, I was blown away by how nice the parks and outdoors stuff like Lone Mountain. Also the wind is so strong.

This is for the Vets. Take your DD 214 to the county recorder (the pyramid building downtown) to get a discount on either your auto registration or home property taxes. The discount is about $150.00 per year. This discount never expires.

I’ve been living in Las Vegas for 23 years and what still gets me is the mega hot summers and they feel hotter and hotter as years go by. Other than that it’s a great place.

Another thing, it's NOT a city that never sleeps. Besides casinos and some bars things generally close just the same as in other cities.

So true about slot machine everywhere, few year ago. Stop for gas for the trip home, had my wife pump the gas while I bought drinks. I saw my favorite slot machine there, had to drop $20 in it, 5 minute later, i won $650. Paid for my trip.😊

When you see your first slot machine inside a 7-11, it's just something special.

Don’t forget about the coyotes. Keep small pets leashed or indoors.

The part about the weather makes me think of a buddy of mine. He’d been to Vegas before, but almost always in the late spring or early fall and a couple times in the summer. One time, he had to go out there in the winter, like mid-January if I recall correctly. He didn’t take any warmer clothes because he didn’t know it got cold out there. It’s still typically warmer out there at that time of year than it is here in Indiana, but it’s still not warm. He got home and when I asked him about his trip, he told me he froze his butt off lol

A list of those reverse/triple happy hours would be nice.

My experience with car insurance differs. I moved from Los Angeles area and was shocked that my insurance doubled. Home repairs, make sure you check out contractors and get referrals. so many unlicensed contractors doing below standard work. Also beware of a trade person or worker who will tell you "I got a guy" who will do a job for you. The scram is many workers want to act as a general contractor and refer you to his "Guy" with hopes to handle the job for you using the other guy. The deal is the first guy subcontracts to the other guy for a markup on the cost of the job. Always ask who will be doing the work, you or someone else.

We had snow when we visited a couple years ago in February, but it was nothing compared to home in Winnipeg lol

😅 well weather wise. LV gets really hot nowadays too. I rather drive at night than day.

I want Nevada to be a costume carry state without having people apply for a concealed carry permits and I'm from New York. Originally I was born in California raised in New York and I want constitutional carry so people don't have to get permits to conceal their weapon to protect himself

Sounds like weather and wildlife are pretty similar to here in Phoenix. I also avoid tourist areas like old town Scottsdale or going north to Sedona.

So Jacob, what are the taxes per thousand? We pay about $30 per in Central Wisconsin.

No one told me how cold it gets here. I was prepared for the summers but not the winters haha
