The deepest artificial hole into the earth is the Kola Superdeep Borehole.. Just over 12 kilometers and then another hole in Qatar in 2008 and again repeated in 2011 by Sakhalin-I Odoptu OP-11 Well (offshore the Russian island Sakhalin) all only reaching around 12-12.5 kilometers.. We haven't even scratched the surface...

Back in 6th grade, we made questions that would be posted on a board, and the class had to answer it. My question was about what would happen if the core would stopped spinning (I got my question form the movie 'Core' which was in theaters). I was mocked, people were making fun of me and saying the the core was never moving anyways. I've always thought about that day. 10 years later...WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?? THIS GUY

Well, I think it is a big deal, because it may change which areas are frozen or not, but what is good about this is if it is in sync with our Sun getting hotter and colder, meaning more water is available to keep the planet cooler, and less when the sun is cooler. Essentially we have something like a pervasive interactive system, through the used of atom interaction, via wave forms, where atoms are not just sensors, but react appropriately...

Cancer will be a minor medical issue that is easily treatable by the time the magnetosphere switches & becomes weaker.
Also compasses not working is not an issue since we primarily use satellite navigation.
