You brought back memories. My Grandma use to send us large boxes of beans, peas, pecans, peanuts, sugar cane, peaches and ham every year from downsouth off her farm. That sugar cane was the best, I still remember the first time I tried it, thats how good it was! Simply delicious!

I love sugar cane. For the people who dont know, we chew the cane, drink the juice and spit the *pulp* out... Cane juice, coconut water and lime juice make the perfect drink. Cheers to our health!🎉🎉🎉
Edit...This is why they took us from Africa to the Caribbean to work the sugarcane fields and mills! We also braid the skin of the cane to make bags and hats and even furniture.😉

Brings back my kid days in the Caribbean when going to school, just an abundance of fruits, didn’t know what junk food was until we moved to North America.

Wow...memories. I was raised by grandparents from Georgia. My great grandfather taught me to chew sugar cane as a little girl, maybe 4 or 5 years old. Chew the natural sweetness, spit it out once it was dry because you'd gotten the sweetness out. I used to get in trouble with my grandmother for spitting out the dry sugar cane...cause " little girls don't that!" Meaning little girls don't spit. I can hear her now telling my 4 year old self to come inside and "sat" down somewhere 😅😅😅 Yes, precious memories

Mom used to bring these home. I have not had one since I was a little girl. Sugar Caine... My sister and I loved them.
