It's simply not true. China allows freedom of religion and Islam. However, China does not allow religion to interfere in politics, much less allow a minority of Muslims in Xinjiang to try to split China. As long as you don't interfere with politics, as long as you don't try to split China, you are perfectly allowed to have your own faith.

Well, if you are not doing terrorist stuff, you are free to do whatever in China. Those being procecuted were also prosecuted in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan as they are practically terrorist. Many ethnic group are muslim in China included Han chinese. So it is not really the case like what this video said

From the history to the present, the converters only are very few cases in the Muslims communities in China. Islam have never been really “spread” in the local Chinese population. It is always inherit through the family blood tie and within the ethnic groups.
