Well Islam First reached this region when the Umayyad Caliphate Conquered Sinddh and some part of the Punjab region, this initial contact with Islam contributed to the growth of the Muslim population in regions of Pakistan,
the second main reasons were the Turkic Muslim tribes from Central Asia called The Mughals, you see with the help of Ottoman empire the Mughals successfully conquered almost the entire subcontinent, leading to a considerable growth of Muslim population and architecture in the region,
