Lol!! Tracie, I just have to laugh....I watched this all the way through...thinking it was so awesome that you were doing a tutorial on these for some of us who were unable to find file folders. Then at the end, your comment finally sank in! Truly, only die hard junk journalers would recreate something from scratch, then cut it all apart to create something totally different. And never think twice about it!

Great tutorial for those who cannot get a hold of file folders. Something I take for granted here in U.S. But I’ve been wanting to make mini ones so this is perfect! I like to purchase the heavyweight ones from Staples.

I have made the file folders and found it easier to use envelope punch to make the tabs. Saves the hassle is cutting corners.

I do not really understand the emphasis on file folders and why folk go to such lengths to acquire them...I guess I saw them as a nuisance waste of space in all the offices I’ve ever worked in! Since the emergence of computers and electronic file keeping, Manila file folders became obsolete and simply took unnecessary storeroom space, goodness, if I’d only known back then how valuable they would be to junk journalers now, I’d be rich! Hahahahaha, thank you for sharing this video Tracie 😄

Great idea thanks! You could also make a whole range of different coloured folders with the A3 cardstock!

Thank you for sharing this way to make file did find some, also on amazon, which were a good price £17.45 for 50 but then noticed the postage was £34.50 so needless to say that came straight back out of my basket lol

I can get the file folders at the drop of a hat. No trouble there. Our Wal-Mart sells the but that being said, Thank you so much for sharing the video with folks that are not blessed with file folders raining down on every corner. I have enjoyed all videos because not everything available in the UK is available to me. Most I can order but as you know the shipping is atrocious. Thank You again!!! Hugs

I bought a box of 250 ivory file folders at Staples for $20 CAD, Then for strictly ivory card stock $25 CAD for 100. I use the file folders to make basic tags and then the cardstock for printing tags. So in essence, the file folders I can make 5 times  the quantity of tags for $20. Both the file folders and cardstock are 65lb or 176 gsm.

Great idea. Here in Sth Australia we have a cheap shop called cheap as chips. I get 10 in a packet for $5. They are yellow but I don’t mind the colour. Can’t believe 30 pound. 🥺

I have bought some hanger folder, they are scored and they are very cheap and good quality. I then use the same punch as to the envelop and then just cut....tsunamirose as made some mini folder in that way and you get a perfect round cut in the flip..Hope you now what I mean. Can’t made a link.
