Let's Create an Altered File Folder | OohLaLa Vintage Treasures

Hello my lovely crafty friends! I am back in the studio and creating today. I am putting together a Laurie file folder as a design team project for OohLaLa Vintage Treasures. Laurie has a great tutorial series on her channel. I hope you enjoy creating this with me using the Garden Dreams Kit! Seeing those junky file folders made me smile. I think I had a couple of those in the garage that got splashed with coffee grounds or something. Dang, should have kept them. You just never know when something will become a future treasure (when you have talent like yours that is).

Awesome. I'm going to tea and coffee dye some paper and was wondering if I could just put the dyes into a spray bottle to do it and just saw that the answer is you I can. Thanks for showing this process.

Just got another idea from you. When I buy Tazo chai tea latte concentrate, there is sometimes this thick residue at the bottom of the container that I toss. Yuck. I can save it to tea stain stuff like fabric and file folders. Thanks. Waste not, want not.

This is AWESOME!!! It still blows my mind how incredibly Creative People like you~Can take pretty much anything one may have laying around at home, in office or possibly laying on the top of the trash can!!! & turn it into something ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL &&& PRACTICAL/RE-PURPOSING!!! &... Of course, The BEST PART.... It transforms into something that bring out POSITIVE emotions... Be it Joy from it's Beauty, Love & Graditude from the gifting &/or receiving, & For the Artist~The entire process has potential to transmute a heightened state of being (Say after a long day at work) It could be relaxing to craft! Wow! Never thought of adding all the extra flaps. I’m so curious how all this will turn out, love what you have done so sure as always it will be beautiful when you are done. I took my folder and cut it down and painted it a very pale as far as I have gotten. I did as you did took everything off the front.

I think you like to plan everything because you want your videos to be expeditious. You realize we want to see the "meat" and not so much the trimming of the steak. (Hopefully I have not offended any vegans.)
