My morning routine most of the year mainly consists of helping my two ADHD kids through our shared morning routine. During the school year, they have to be at school at 7:40, so I wake them up at 6:00 to start. That blows a lot of minds when people hear it, 'cause from what I've heard most parents wake their kids around 7:00. We'd never make it through waking up at 7:00. Strict schedule, timers everywhere, stuff laid out in specific locations. Thankfully I work at their school, so that shaves a bit of time on work days. Summertime is pure chaos though.

I've learned the sleep lessons the hard way.

I might just have a look at this whole "categories" idea.

Hi Steve, new subscriber here - I am in shock at how helpful this video is - along with your other videos. I've been looking at ADHD tips for about 2 years when I knew I had it, got diagnosed but I hadn't yet come across information that is so helpful and actionable to an ADHD brain. It's simple to the point I wonder how I didn't think of it before? Hours and hours spent reading and watching about how to set morning routine along with years of failing to do so! Maybe I can turn my life around at 25!

See to me if you're doing different activities all the time that's not a routine. That's two routines broken up by something else.
