I skin hook mine on the side. Never had an issue with line twist. Less plastic for my hook to go through.

With this same advice - you can insert the hook a little further through the bait before coming out. Pull the worm up over the eye of the hook (while its already tied) and set up the weedless Texas Rig with less tail end. Eliminates short strikes

Good tip about squeezing the plastic tight between your fingers to keep the hook centred that always happens to me where I poke it through and it's further off to one side or the other not centred👍🏼

I like rigging mine about an eight to a quarter of am inch further down, so the knot ends up inside the lure.

Keeps the tag end from picking up grass or slime.

If you really want to avoid line twist soak your line in a bucket of water anywhere for 3 to 5 days longer if you want you'll never have enough of their line twist again. Learn from Richard Gene the fishing machine on YT . It works!!

Good ole Texas rig! I am currently in the process of selling a ton of my bass tackle and my Tex rigs and plastics aren’t for sale. After over 20 years of bass fishing ( and way to much gear ) I am very proficient in about 5 techniques. At this point, if it doesn’t fit my 5 styles, it’s out! I simply did the numbers and found that 1/2 of what I owned is not my bag! Cheers 🍻
