There's a new technique going viral on TikTok, which supposedly guarantees the perfectly placed, just-messy-enough topknot every single time.
We've tried it ourselves, and we can confirm it works. However, you will need a very stretchy hair tie to allow for all that wrist movement. Impressively, this whole messy bun hair hack takes mere seconds.
Once you've mastered the move, finish it off by tucking in any loose ends and pulling out sections at the front if you're going for a messier finish.

My hair is just way too long (down to my butt) to be playing magic hands and slinging my hair in different directions lol … I’ve done three of these buns and just gave up. I’ll just stick with dutch braids and fishtails, then wrapping them in very low twists to keep it back.
