MESSY BUN TUTORIAL FOR LONG HAIR

Easy messy bun technique 💁‍♀️

Gather hair into a ponytail and hold it with your dominant hand. Using your non-dominant hand, pull elastic over the base of the ponytail halfway and stop. Insert your non-dominant hand through the elastic toward the front of your face. This will naturally create a half twist in the elastic.

Then, bring your hand back in the direction it came, making sure to sweep it under the existing ponytail and around two times. Place elastic over the base of the ponytail and push it through. Pinch, tug, and pull bun apart depending on your desired messy level. Use bobby pins where needed to create your desired shape. I love how this one looks from the back!

HOW?!? I do not understand. This looks amazing, but I've tried this method a million times and have only ended up with a mass of knots. I have lost count of how many hair ties I've had to cut out of my hair whilst attempting this trickery. So look, if you're going to flaunt your perfect messy bun to the rest of us, you're going to need to at least show us how we can do it too! Please make a tutorial.

I have tried this 1000xs, and not once has it worked. All that ever happens is when flipped, it undoes the last loop. 😡🤯
