Man, that was spooky! Fun fact: While the GDR leaders were totally into invading both Ceskoslovakia in '69 and Poland in '81 together with other Warsaw Pact forces the Soviets were totally against it. Because of reasons.

Unless it's different in this timeline, note that there was only one head of state in the DDR (pre-1989) that was called "President", and that was Wilhelm Pieck. All others were called "Staatsratsvorsitzender" (Chairman of the State Council). In 1990 IRL, due to the lack of a formal head of state, Dr. Sabine Bergmann-Pohl, by virtue of being the President of the Volkskammer (East German parliament) was the interim head of state. The prime minister was the "Vorsitzender des Ministerrats" (Chairman of the Minister's Council) but was referred to in the west as "Ministerpräsident". And I had to laugh when I saw the name Oskar Lafontaine as head of state of this alternate East Germany.

Why estern Germany didnt keep Memel and Sudetland if the allies recognized the annexation before the war ?

I do wonder what the DDR would have been like if they actually had been allowed to keep the Sudetenland and the old Prussian lands. We shall never know I suppose.

0:33 good start but sadly Prussia would be still losed or well also Silesia and Pomerania since the soviets wanted to have to have some puppets easily to be used. But well u could add the polish-east german crisis for Silesia and Pomerania and maybe they could had won. After Stalin this could had a chance.

Why does Poland have it's 1930s border?
Also explaining how this alternative timeline came into being would have been nice, lilke, why does east Germany keep prussia? Were the soviets genarally less hars and revengefull on thier subjects?

This is very good, but with some mistakes: In this alternative history, several problems must have been different, otherwise, this would have been impossible. For example there must have been a Soviet moon landing, the chernobyl desaster could not have happened in the USSR but in the West, there would have not been a Polish uprising, because the socialist nations must have been prospering, but there maybe would have been very heavy wars like in real Yugoslavia in Spain (Basques and Catalunya) and the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland) and a huge protest wave in western Germany against anti-communist laws and neo-fascism in the late 1980s. A total dicrease of the USA is also not likely, it would rather be a split of the USA, and with the independence of Puerto Rico for example. And, lastly, we can not say, what could have happened after 1990 in such an alternative history, for example a revitalization of friendly relations to China is thinkable.

But if all that would have happened, it would have been great.
Look at how peaceful Europe was in Cold war times compared to today, how much socialism achieved in Eastern and Middle Europe compared to the time before that, when it was controlled by monarchies and fascism, and how much war is going on right now in the world due to the Second cold war. As they sayed in the first GDR song in this video: The main danger for peace is NATO, they always wanted to provoke war against Soviet Union/Russia! I would clearly want a good GDR ending for my Germany, with Egon Krenz as Prime Minister! I once have met him, he is a really honest and upright person!
