AMD Radeon Mouse Lag Driver FIX 18.5.2+

Driver version in this video as of 12/4/2018: 18.9.3.

To disable HDCP, enter AMD (Radeon) settings,
-Display
-Specs (Top Right)
-Override
-Disable HDCP Support.

*FOR MULTI-MONITOR SETUPS* HDCP needs to be disabled on every connected monitor.

HDCP, or High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection is a copyright-infringement prevention technology developed by Intel.

Its sole purpose is to prevent protected content from being copied as it is streaming over the physical display cable.

In rare cases, such as with my MSI Optix G24C running a 1080p 144Hz signal over a DisplayPort cable, the HDCP protection does not work properly, and creates this effect.

Disabling HDCP rarely causes any adverse effects, and is highly advised if you have this issue.

Guys i have found a fix for a laptop, just install older version of amd driver, im on a laptop with a8-7410 and r5 m330 and im installing 17.4.4 driver, promise it works!

Thanks Mitchell, you are a life saver!! It is December 2020, two years after this video, on drivers 20.11.2, and this is still happening. Unbelievable. A good reminder why I usually always choose NVidia.

Some people saying that you should just use older drivers. Yes, that works, but some games require the newest drivers.

This seems to have fixed my computer in May 2021, latest AMD driver on Radeon RX 580 Dell 27" All in One.

Dude! This video saved me a ton of heart ache. I updated the Radeon software on my PC a few weeks ago and since then I've had the glichy mouse! I could not figure out what the issue was. It was the HDCP setting! I disabled the setting and now the issue is gone! Thank you!

go online and search the 16.12.2 or 17.4.4 download it from amd and install.

To stop Windows from doing automatic driver updates, navigate to Control Panel > System & Security > System > Advanced System Settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings. Then choose "No (your device might not work as expected) to stop the shitty updates that don’t help you and mess up your computer. They literally just want us to buy new computers

You are a Been struggling with this shit for 6 fucking months. Whenever I game, I had to literally unplug all my other monitors. I just wanted to add that you must do the override for each monitor you have plugged in, not just the main monitor.

Don't let other processes install chipset drivers instead of the originals!

I installed everything else normally after that.

I found that, in my case, the problem lay in the conflict with the chipset drivers.
