Warning, Do Not Eat or Drink from Warm Plastic.
Imagine you are busy with eating a better diet and trying your best to optimize your health, when all the while an invisible slow poison is disrupting your hormones and increasing your chances of cancer and disease.

This could be happening right now to you, or to a loved one. Plastic containers are filled with xenoestrogens (not just BPA) that can mimic estrogen in your body (or your babies body) and lead to worrisome outcomes.

Please take charge of this issue in your home, and share this with family and friends so they know to deal with it as well. Plastics serve many useful purposes in our lives, but they are less than safe when used to hold food or drink...

When I was a kid, we always had our iced tea in a glass pitcher. I remember when one day it broke. I asked my Mom why didn't we just get a plastic one. She told me that my dad would not drink from a plastic tea pitcher because he could "taste" the plastic. That was in the 60's. Now I understand. The Tupperware lady is gonna be unhappy about this!

I wonder if you know this ;) I am a medical lab technologist and work in a toxicology lab. When we run urine drug screens on GCMS, besides finding all the illegal drugs and medications, in around 25-50% of the urine samples we find PHTHALATES!! Isn't that crazy (and proof) that you are ingesting plastic. And if it's in your urine that means it went through your blood, liver, heart, brain, and kidneys before it got to your urine.

There are likely other plastic molecules that we aren't able to extract with our method but because of that I keep my food away from plastic always.

Not food related but we also find DEET in urine so you might want to spray that on your clothes instead of your skin.

LOVE your videos!! I'm binge watching.

“Estrogeneration” is the Best book ever! I couldn’t put it down, the information is priceless. Wish I knew all this years ago.

Thank you. I am 66 and never paid much attention to the dangers of plastic. I did stop heating up leftovers in plastic years ago simply because it stained the plastic. I feel the everything else you have told us is true, so I am going to switch from my giant water/tea glass to a smaller actual glass container. Every little bit helps when you are trying to get healthy. I appreciate all that you do and hope you continue your crusade to make us healthier.

Holy cow! This makes sense and I’ve had tons of female problems and had to get a full hysterectomy in my early 30’s. As a nurse, I’ve drank tons of coffee in plastic and styrofoam cups. I’ve done many of these things. I thought getting BPA free was good enough 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's everywhere. You just gotta pick your battles in where you're reducing your exposure. It still helps a lot.

what was once a research project on mineral water turned into a fight against plastic in my household. Plastic will slowly be eliminated from my life.

When I was a kid, spring water was delivered in glass jugs and that was in the early 70's

I am slowly but surely switching over to glass food storage. It takes time on a fixed budget to change everything to nontoxic stuff, but I'll get there. 😊

30ish years ago, I overheard a teacher in elementary school complaining about plastics and how she hates how so much food comes in plastic. It went over my head then but I never forgot it

When I was in College I took a Materials engineering class, the class had a new mass spectrometer, for hell of it I put a gallon plastic container of milk in the sun for 20 minutes, then ran a sample through the mass spectrometer, it was loaded with plastic molecules.

Another sad element is if you ever go to the hospital due to illness, the IV catheter, tubing, and bags of fluid all contain phthalates.

"Warning, Do Not Eat or Drink from Warm Plastic." I think the "warm" part should have been emphasized more in the video. I'm not getting rid of my toothbrush or insulated plastic tumblers (for cold drinks)...

DR. BERRY YOU ARE SCARING A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THIS VIDEO. Please do another one with more in-depth explaining on what we can do to do our best regarding this subject to put people's minds at ease and answer the questions about K-cups and pacifiers, baby bottles, etc. Should everyone stop drinking water out of plastic bottles and switch to buying it in glass bottles?Maybe state some of the things YOU do to address this. I'm sure it would be appreciated by all. Thank you for what you do.

Thank you for putting this information out there. I am surprised your video doesn't have millions of views. When I started doing research about plastics, I was shocked about how little we know as consumers know about it. Hence why I made it my mission to educate people on this in a humorous way. Thank you for backing up the information I have found. I will be linking to your video.

Really glad you brought this issue up as I too have done some research on this and this really needs to told to all. All food needs to be away from Plastic

Makes sense. If that plastic bottle from your car is not safe because it has been heated up, then why could you drink bottled water at all since you know that it sat for months in some steaming hot warehouse before hitting the grocery shelves!!!

This did freak me out. -Not a little bit, but a lot of bit. Thank you for giving all the examples too. The coffee cup, the cutting board. Facepalm. Our butter is in a plastic container for cryin out loud. I have grass-fed butter (yay me) in a plastic container (and wait for it...I sometimes soften it in the microwave. Gaaah!) Ok - well better late than never. I too bought the BPA-free means it's safe. I'm starting to realize government approved or recommended means "be sure to do extra research before using this". Thanks Dr. Berry!
