BRO - haven't been able to run more than 2 miles without my knee locking up for YEARS. I've done these exercises + stretches the last two days and just ran 4.5 miles before the pain kicked in

Excellent video. I fell on my knees last November. My doctor here in the US ordered X-rays and MRIs, he found no ligament or tendon damage but he sent me to physical rehab which consisted in bicycle. Needless to say that I was in pain until went to Mexico in May. A traumatologist there diagnosed me with IT band syndrome, he sent me to physical therapy and finally I’m almost pain free. I’ll try these exercises and see how I feel!

The one where you said hip mobility fixed the feeling immediately. Need to do this often now whilst strengthening the glutes

In the last couple of years, my glutes and hips especially my left side got very stiff and I always had this pain in my left knee
I just tried your exercises and after excruciating pains, I started feeling so much better and the pain in the left knee vanished

EVERYONE! It works! Just massage the outer side of your thigh. Now, I don't experience this type of pain I've been holding after every run!!!

I know this video is a bit old but I just got it. I been running 6 miles every two days and I just started getting this pain on the side of the knee. is just one leg lol. But i noticed is my weakest side my left. I do complete my six mile run. But then I’m having a hard time walking . So I slow down my running and started working out my legs a bit more and this sir helps a lot thank you.

Thank you. Of all the YouTubers giving me advice on IT band pain, you are the first to make sense for my situation. Yes: weak glutes is my problem. Ever since I’ve had my hip replacement on the right 3 years ago, my right glutes have been very weak. So when I moved inside from hiking to jogging the on the boring gym track I developed the worst pain ever in my right IT. It has taken a week of narcotics and rest to get back to normal. Now I know what to do : fix my glutes and quit jogging 😂❤

Thank you. I’ll try this. I use a mini stepper and my right knee swells on the outside of that knee. So I had to stop using it. I’m quite large and enjoy my stepper because it works so Hard I’ve been bummed out about this. I’ll try these exercises and hopefully I can get back on my mini stepper.

I happened to get this a second time, but now on my other knee (long distance hiking). Tendons/ligaments are so hard to understand. You often feel the pain in another place than the root cause area ( in this case the glute, hips and/or hamstring). Thanks for the information, much appreciated!!!

Bingo. Bulging disc and a bad back and pain that keeps migrating and a lot of this may come down to weak glutes.

I got this after TKR. So painful. I have to press around the fibula head when trying to bend my knee. 😢 incredibly painful. Keeps me from progressing.

How many 90/90 rotations would you recommend doing? As well as with the side plank hip abduction?

Thank you so much for these exercises, I have just one question- what if my knee hurt while doing pigeon stretch? The outside of my left knee hurt when i do this, so I am really not sure if I should keep doing this

I have pain on the other side of the knee, not on the outside. Does it point at the same problem?

After knee replacement my pain occasionally hits my calf just below my knee and predominantly up my outer thigh to my hip. Ironically, all my life I've been slightly bow legged. After double knee replacement 2020, 2021 - my knees touch especially the right leg which is where my pain exists. Just a mess and I don't know where to begin.

What seems the problem of my leg? I felt pain whenever I run A sprint? My muscles feel tight on one side and feel pain when i try to stretch reaching my toes.
