Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) is the first of the B-Complex vitamins identified. And designated B1 as a result.

Thiamine increases levels of thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP). TPP is directly involved in the citric acid (KREB) cycle in the brain.

This cycle breaks fatty acids, amino acids and monosaccharides from the food you eat into smaller molecules that produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP) energy for your mitochondria. It’s also needed for the synthesis of DNA and RNA.

Vitamin B1 is found in lentils, whole grains, pork, red meat, yeast, nuts, sunflower seeds, peas, milk, cauliflower and spinach.

Vitamin B1 is water soluble and is stored in your body for only 14 days. If you don’t get enough B1 you’ll experience irritability, confusion and memory problems.

A severe deficiency can manifest itself as beriberi, pain, heart problems, or even paralysis.

Thiamine defiency is more common than you think. Even when your lab tests show thiamine and thiamine pyrophosphate within range. It's still possible you are dealing with “mild thiamine deficiency”.

Many report thiamine supplementation boosts attention, energy, and motivation. A reduction in brain fog and increased mental clarity with less anxiety.

I had heart palpitations for years..got much worse after covid infection. I discovered benfotiamine 250 mg twice day with magnesium..two days after i began taking and i have not had a palpitation in 5 weeks!!! I have so much energy at 66 years old.

Thank you. This is the first time I have heard an expert say B1 helps with mosquitoe bites. It has done that for me. Without B1 a mosquito bite for me meant hugh blisters that would take weeks to heal and leave deep scars. I take B1 daily and if I am bitten it doesn't blister and is healed up in a few days. This has been a life saver for me living in Australia where there are plenty of the little blitters.

Great info! My mother has bad malnutrition due to long term omeprazole use and cannot break down foods, therefore getting zero nutrients. Her symptoms mirror B1 and B12 (among others) deficiencies.

I struggle with B1 defiency after Bariatric surgery. A botched one. I get intravenous thiamin 400mg once a week. Sometimes I have to give myself injections in between. So I'm very interested to try this.

This is a wonderful video. I am a bariatric surgery patent post 25 yrs. A lot of the symptoms are mine. Extreme irritability, no appetite (foods are not appealing), extremely dry ski, super sensitive to heat or extreme cold, insomnia, hair thinning, joint pain. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia yrs ago.
Have taken B50 Complex off and on. Extreme allergic reaction to mosquitoes bite sight swells, turns bright red thst the last for days with reddish-purple bruising and they love me. Does sulbutiamine require a prescription?

Great video! What about Thiamine Nitrate with Magnesium Orotate? Does the body absorb it much more effectively? BTW, I use this combination to help with a mild stuttering problem.
