I was raised into Catholicism because my family and I were lost. Every time we went I felt so uncomfortable and especially the idea of making confession to a random person I don’t know who is also a sinner. By the grace of God, Jesus saved me and my parents making a confession to Jesus above and not to a random man below on earth. We got born again and our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus, hallelujah!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

He then led us to a nondenominational church who teaches from the Bible. We now have a relationship with God not a man made religion. We read our bibles daily and follow Jesus. Have so much peace and hope knowing that Jesus is coming back. People need to get to know the real Jesus from the Bible who gives peace that surpasses all understanding.

my oldest son is catholic. I got him to come to my church (baptist-of which I'm not proud to say as of late but we are a Bible believing body of Christ) & he claims the reason he doesn't like my church is all we have is a cross that Jesus isn't pictured on. I told him " because He's not on the cross anymore He arose from the death of the cross!! HE'S ALIVE!!"

One of the most heartbreaking and infuriating times in my life was when I was at a Catholic funeral and the priest was there giving comforting words to those in the room. He was giving Christ glory and seemed right on. However, he immediately led those around in a prayer to Mary. I just about jumped out of my skin!

For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 (The word death in this verse means eternal separation from God in hell).

Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1Corinthians 15:3-8
In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14
For by grace ye are saved, through faith; and not of yourselves.
It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2 :21
Realize that you are a hopeless sinner and trust in Jesus shed blood on the cross to pay for your sins.

The moment you trust in Jesus and only Jesus, you are saved.

I distinctly remember as an 8year old going to ballet class and a mum there was sharing about something difficult going on with someone. That person needed "extra prayer" and because of the need she was going straight to the "big guy" this time. I was thinking in my mind, 'why not prayer straight to God every time?' It was in that moment that I knew catholicism was false.

I'm going to listen to the man that only was two generations away from Jesus Christ and was before the compilation of the Bible. He tells us how they did the mass back in the first century. So do we listen to someone that their doctrine started in the 1500s or in the first century you can decide.

Have forwarded and typed it out. Thank you, Dr. Burnett. I am the ONLY saved one for many generations and have had to remove myself from surviving siblings and their children because of their abuse because they found out I left catholicism over 50 yrs ago (saved at Calvary Costa Mesa). They damned me with their mouths and with their writings. I didn't even go to my mom's burial because of them - I brought my WW2 catholic parents to the Lord before they passed in their 90s - they had no idea about anything in the Holy Bible. The RCR in the 60s and 70s told us that only catholics would get into Heaven and that everyone else goes to Hell and that we were to HATE Jews because they killed our Savior. NOPE. Jesus said, 'I lay down My Life. NO one takes it from Me.' It is beyond sad how blind people choose to be and many afraid if they leave the false religion that they will have no family. Well, I can attest to that: they might not. But Jesus will fill in the loss with Himself and others who follow Him, and Jesus said if anyone loves his parents, children, anyone more than Him that they are not worthy of Him. We pray for all those who do not know, follow and worship Lord Jesus Christ and who do not leave their false man-made religions. MARANATHA <><

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

God himself will come and live inside of us, he will never leave us or abandon us, he will always be there in anything we face in life. And specifically, Jesus tells the disciples that the Holy Spirit will teach them all things and remind them of all Jesus has said.
