I'm happy we decided to transfer 2. We had the option to transfer 2 since we only had 5 fertilize. One stuck and we are 6 months along now!

I just want to say, my clinic always pushed for multiple embryos to be transferred at once, i was always against it due to the reasons you outline in the video, but on my last transfer I transferred 3 pgd tested embryos and only 1 stuck. I am 16 weeks pregnant and extremely grateful but I was shocked that only 1 implanted, I was convinced I would have twins, so it just goes to show, you may not always have a twin pregnancy if you transfer multiple embryos!

My wife and I were just discussing this earlier today as my consultant offered to put 2 in on the next round and we weren’t sure if we should. I’m almost 40 with a history of recurrent miscarriage and low AMH. I tend to get 2 blastocysts on each cycle. I think you’ve answered my question for me. Thank you.

Some fertility clinics don’t even allow transfer of more than 1 embryo. They only practice eSET. The claim is that transferring more than one could be dangerous to the mother (e.g. gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, etc.) That may be true, but it’s also true that clinics can charge additional fee to do another eSET at a later date.

Thanks for the information Dr Morris. I only discovered since watching your videos that 2 types of progesterone is better than just taking vaginal progesterone. I spoke to my fertility specialist about this and he did agree so it’s thanks to you that I knew this which could mean I have a much better chance of my embryo sticking. We haven't yet done IVF, but truthfully, I am convinced that even if two or three were transferred, none would stick. This has to do with the fact that we've been trying for so long (ten years), without success.

Im 6 months pregnant now with twins😊 transferred 2 frozen embryos
1 boy and 1 girl we did the PGS testing so we knew already the gender before they put it and if its a healthy embryos.

I guess I’m a little confused. These stats are saying that the success rates of two individual transfers is the same as one transfer of two embryos. So, you get the same success of two rounds in a quicker amount of time and cheaper. Isn’t that the whole reason for double transfer, because people can no longer go through the cost & heartache of another round or are under time pressure?
Im speaking as someone who’s been saving for the last..14 MONTHS!..to do a transfer and still waiting and saving. If I only do one and it doesn’t work it’s back to square one saving and waiting and hoping it’s not too late for me 😭
