How to increase the pressure from your shower

Is your shower slow with no pressure ? If yours is an electric shower then you know that the more hot water you want from it, the slower it gets. Here is the simple easy answer that does not involve renewing your shower to one with a higher power like 11 kilowatt etc.

Do not buy other so called high pressure handsets they do not work.

Just had our first electric shower fitted (by our housing association as they have just put a new bathroom in last week) and I was disappointed with the power and was thinking I’d have to buy an upgrade and get it fitted. Now I am going to try a low pressure shower head and give that a go. Glad I found your video. Dave.

I bought a showerhead, didn't check if it was low or high. Made marginal difference. Original has no pressure, it's soft feeling.

I tried that with my boyfriend's shower (turning the dial to a smaller water outlet) but it still had a slight arch in the flow of water; which indicated that the pressure in his shower is VERY low...I did not enjoy my shower at all! 🚿😕

with our shower if it's cold the pressure is brilliant soon as turn it hot it's literally a dribble :(

Hi Al, Thanks for this, I'm having a problem with my electric shower at the moment due to continuing low mains water pressure it keeps turning itself off mid-shower :(, would this help that? I've asked about getting a power shower but another plumber said I can't because my hot water tank is in the same room and they need to be gravity fed? I have a small pump in my spring pond and have been taking very cold showers. The pump gives enough volume without assistance from another pump. Can I connect a garden hose to one of these electric showers?
