It has come to our attention that Sig Sauer incorrectly identified the gun as not being fully seated. It is. And that holster has no hood. What you see, there is a TQ on the front of the holster. So either the keys snuck into the holster and activated the trigger (unsafe holster), or the gun did go off (unsafe gun).

Sig literally told those cops "yeah that was an operator error."

"Drop your weapon"... "Sir he has a Sig Sauer".. ."Don't drop it, lay it down gently"...

I’ve talked to a representative at SIG for my P320 In the models before 2017 if the “Beaver tail” is struck or put under pressure it can cause a misfire. SIG acknowledges the defect and offers a free internal trigger “Upgrade” in all models prior to 2017

Sig is pulling a cops special move. "We have investigated ourselves and found no error on our part"

It’s always a Sig that “wasn’t seated”.

"Never the fault of the firearm"...but somehow it's always the P320.

I’ve been running my own little experiment since 2018: I’ve had my P320 loaded since 2018, carried on-duty in a Safariland 7TS duty holster and a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig, carried off-duty in a Milt Sparks IWB holster, and even kept in the locker at work occasionally. All rounds have been accounted for. 😊

I was at the gun range the other day and I started a conversation with this old man who said if you ever want a automatic pistol then get a sig p320 and run down a set of stairs
😂😂😂

When the military converted over to the M18 (320) the rate of holster discharges shot up like mad during training. The safety lever is directly inline with the holster release which was intended for rapid engagement when drawing. However its shown to be a bigger negative in high stress than a positive

It was fully seated. That’s his Tourniquet on the front of his holster. The officer has a solar powered Holosun RDS. It’s common practice to leave the optic hood open so the RDS can recharge.

it’s a known issue and it’s laughable that they’d tried to deny it

Sig: this isn't an issue with our gun.
Also Sig: we've updated the trigger group so this won't happen anymore.

i’m not convinced it wasn’t fully seated. yeah, the hood is off, but that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t fully seated. plus, after it fires, the officers arm hits the good and it goes down, implying that it was at least fully seated immediately after firing but also displays the handgun could be fully seated with the hood off.

and by the way, the hood being off isn’t in and of itself unsafe. its simply meant to cover a red dot from debris so it isn’t occluded after a draw.

How’s it feel cops??? “They’ve investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing.” Kinda sucks doesn’t it?
