Never in a million years would I ever thought Chuck Norris would become a YouTuber and talk about tiny trucks lol but it is a good review 👍🏼👍🏼 💯 keep up the good work bro and stay safe

I like that fact that he tested the very basic trim, which is usually sufficient for most people. So glad that automakers are finally making trucks affordable and efficient. Not everybody needs a $70K truck with 7 mpg that can tow the Queen Mary Up Everest.

this level of "base" is really great. more choice is always better! Feels like a return to the 80's with truly manual mirrors, blue interior and steel wheels

I have watched at least 15 other reviews of the Maverick. Sam, thank you for bringing new perspectives on the Maverick, and bringing an unbiased critique of a vehicle you own. In particular the radio and transmission.

Finally someone reviewing a base hybrid, every other review I’ve seen is for like a top of the line 35, 000+ model

Both me and my Parents are enjoying our hybrids. They got an XLT and I got the Lariat. I let the tank get as close to empty as I could and was able to get about 560 miles. I probably could have gone another 20 or 30 miles. I was able to get that by driving mainly on city roads. I even used google maps to find the most fuel efficient path to work. I was able to go about 2 weeks without having to refuel.

I'm impressed with this truck. It's so inexpensive, ownership is much more carefree. Great job Ford, offering a value based light pickup!

I'm honestly shocked, I turned away from this truck at first because I expected it to be upwards of 30k MSRP just from the looks of it... but this thing's cheaper than a corolla.

I think this was a VERY accurate review. My GF has the XLT, and we feel like it is an excellent value. She is averaging 39.0 mpg with a lot of freeway driving.

Nice job again with the Maverick review.
Received my XLT hybrid 2 weeks ago. The only option is a full size spare.
The truck is quiet. It feels stable and solid, and roomy for a small vehicle.
My 30 mile trip to work with small hills and 40-50 mph speeds is showing 45 mpg on the trip summary. Love the truck!

So now I have 6, 000 miles on my hybrid Maverick, and it is simply the best vehicle I have ever owned, and I have owned many in the 55 years I have been driving.

Since I've ordered my Maverick, I have been watching different reviews. By far this is the best and most thorough review! I usually do not subscribe to anything but after watching this review I had to! I expect delivery of my Maverick in about a month.

I really love how Sam is a no BS reviewer. He tells it like it is, and it's wonderful! Keep up the awesome work

I have the same truck, XL Hybrid. I just added a bed liner and bed cover ($800 value) and with state sales tax it came up to a little over 24K. So it is marketed at 19k + but with delivery and tax, it will be close to 24K. So keep that in mind.. However, it is still a bargain and fun to drive.

Thank you for reviewing the base version. Seems like a winner with the 40 mpg city and $21K price. Great review.

I don’t know if you know this, but the original Maverick was introduced with a price of 1995.00 I’m sure that is why Ford priced this out at 19995.00 Great job on the video and great job, Ford on bringing a Hybrid to the market that is affordable!

If you want to buy a car, this is probably the best channel to start looking detail information...the other is Alex on autos..both very helpful

Co-worker just bought one. If one does not care about having 4x4, to go out in the hills, this is a nice little pickup. Good city truck at an affordable price.

HI SAM, GOOD JOB!! YOU ARE ONE OF VERY FEW REVIEWERS THAT EVEN MENTIONS THE APPALLING LACK OF REAR SEAT A/C VENTS!! ( especially in ARIZONA, this is probably a deal breaker, if you have kids that have to ride back there!! ) IT MIGHT BE FORGIVABLE ON THE BASE MODEL, IF IT WAS AVAILABLE ON THE HIGHER TRIM MODELS, BUT IT AIN'T!! I'M 67 YEARS OLD SAM, SO I CAN REMEMBER WHEN "BASE MODEL" MENT : ROLL-UP WINDOWS WITH A "CRANK"!! BENCH VINYL SEAT, NON-POWER DRUM BRAKES ( at least on the rear wheels ) NON-POWER STEERING, 3-ON-THE-TREE MANUAL TRANSMISSION, DRIVERS SIDE ONLY OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ( manual controlled ) NO DAY-NIGHT INSIDE MIRROR, AM MONO RADIO, BLACK WALL BIAS PLY TIRES, AND ON PICK UP TRUCKS, THE REAR BUMPER, AND SPARE TIRE+CARRIER OPTIONAL!! SO THIS "BASE MODEL" WITH POWER WINDOWS, AIR CONDITIONING, DUAL MANUAL OUTSIDE MIRRORS, A HYBRID POWERTRAIN ( maybe the best base engine ever sold on an American Car OR Truck?? ) WITH 4 WHEEL DISC RE-GERERATIVE BRAKES, A REMOTE FUEL DOOR RELEASE ( shouldn't all Mavericks have that?? shouldn't all cars have that?? ) A REAR BUMPER AND SPARE TIRE AND HOLDER ( is it a space saver, which is more than a lot of cars have these days?? ) A GOOD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, A 0 TO 60 MPH DASH WELL UNDER 10 SECONDS ( is it possibly the fastest base model car or light truck sold in America under $30, 00.00?? ) OH, YEAH, I THINK IT'S GOT TINTED GLASS, TOO!! AND EVEN THE BASE TIRES ARE VERY GOOD, GOOD SIZED, AND, THE STEEL WHEELS LOOK PRETTY NICE!! NOT BAD FOR $22 GRAND!! AND 42 MPG IN THE CITY??
GREAT FOR THE PIZZA DELIVERY GUY, THE NEWSPAPER GUY, THE AUTO PARTS GUY, DRUGSTORE GUY, GRUB HUB GUY, ECT. ETC.!! NO WONDER IT'S THE NORTH AMERICAN TRUCK OF THE YEAR!! THANKS SAM!! CHAS ORVIS, PLAINVILLE, CT.

Sam I really enjoy your content and your professionalism, thanks! I've watched many videos on Mavericks, I ordered me one, the first of OCT. Hybrid Lariat Auto blue. So yeah, I will be waiting a while yet. I learned another great point today, bolt on rear panels, that's nice to know. I don't know how many times I hear guys say it's a CVT, after learning about the eCVT they or completely different and I believe the eCVT will be much more dependable in the long run. looking forward you your video's.
