In today's video I am sharing with you a food prep for the month, where I try new recipes, explore flavours and get prepped for the week ahead.

For me sustainable living is always about cooking from scratch where possible, valuing what you own, introducing minimalist ideals by keeping our space free of unwanted items and lowering our waste wherever possible. Zero waste living is something I strive for. Meal prepping for autumn, learning new skills and minimising wherever I can. I hope you enjoy this calm cooking video!

Currently working on getting my new website up and running which will have all the recipes detailed for those who want them!! I really appreciate your patience, I am a team of 1 so I do everything myself which means things are a little slower on my side! But I promise it's coming very very soon!

Not so much food prep, but cut prep helps me a ton. Having cut veggies and onions in the fridge is often the reason why I have a healthy dinner when I'm stressed/back from work/etc, over an unhealthy one. I am not cutting anything when it's dinner time and I'm hungry. So cutting everything in advance for a few days is the best option for me!

Very brave and bold, Immy… making a tomato-based sauce while wearing a white shirt… this is very brave and bold, indeed!! Fellow sweet potato lovin’ gal here, and WoW, that sweet potato was a beauty!! Also, I’m a food prep gal over meal prep. I think food prep is quite versatile. Ⓜary💕

I have found that freezing the tofu when it is intended for a taco meat or chili type of dish gives a better texture. Freeze, thaw, squeeze the water out and either crumble or shred. It looks like a sponge and it soaks up and holds whatever sauce it is in.

That is so much food. It all looks delicious. Does it all get eaten by two people in a week?

I really need to do more of this! Every time I watch your videos I am reminded how good REAL food is instead of these quick alternatives that aren’t great and not good for me. Everything you make just makes me hungry! It’s simple, but it’s perfection.

I’d love to food prep, as food tends to be a source of stress for us - the fact that we always have to think what we are going to eat, every single time. But it’s hard to take the time to plan ahead of time, and the best way to store and combine.

I’m a much more relaxed eater so I can just put some veggies and beans together while my husband needs to have a proper meal. He’s French, I guess that’s why. However, he is also an anxious person so anything sitting on the fridge for longer than two days will also be a source of stress, and we can’t eat the same thing two meals in a row 🥲

I recently learned that instead of pressing it, you can dunke the tofu in a hot bath with salty water and it can be crispier and tastier that way. It works because of the osmosis. 🙂

Hey Immy, I admire the way you creatively layered all the various ingredients from your food prep workbee into a delicious looking dish. You really are a “Cheffy Chef” to me, Immy!!👩🏻‍🍳 Also, I’ve got my ear tuned into your next pickle making sesh…. I’m waiting to hear, once again, that famous “I Wanna Be a Pickle Song”… that was the best!! TYSM for another creative and inspiring video!! Ⓜary💕

I'm a huge meal prep fan; I can eat the same thing multiple days in a row if it's good. My husband gets bored of things really quickly, unless it's something he's *obsessed* with, and even then he won't want it for longer than 3 or 4 days at a time; so I've learned how to food prep and also meal prep smaller amounts that we can swap between through the week. Sometimes I do a lazy week where the recipes are so easy I can cook a couple times during the week after work with no issue; and other times I go all out with an entire menu lol It's about balance and finding what works best for you (and any others you cook for in your household) 😄

I think food prep versus meal prep is an ADHDers friend. I like healthy consistency but find I get very bored quickly and struggle to have any appetite. So having everything prepped and being able to combine any meal I fancy is definitely a must.

As an aside for your dressing I recently got some Norpro 11 Ounce Glass Salad Dressing Shaker/Maker with Recipes which ironically I got imported to the UK from the US. This would be great for your dressing if you are trying to get away from plastic. Plus recipe ideas on the side of the bottles.

We are a family of 5 adult sized humans so I do a combination of the two. I like to make 1 dinner, 1 lunch, and ingredient prep as much as possible. I cannot donit all in one day so i do another, smaller one mid week and thats when i will also make pancakes or waffles or granola for breakfasts and 1 muffin or loaf recipe for aome snacks. So i really enjoyed your video today.

This is my second time watching you do your meal prep :) It's so calming seeing someone else do all the work, since it's normally me 🤣 I must say all your food looked so scrumptious !!. I loved the look of the Focaccia too - swoon ! I look forward to each video ~ Linda

I like to Food Prep and Meal Prep one new recipe each week. I agree you can build a meal so easily and quickly with stuff prepped and ready to go 👍

The pickle thing is so interesting! I'm Eastern European and over here, we don't really have a specific word for pickles because we make a distinction between pickled (kyslé - literally "sour") and fermented (kvasené) cucumbers (or any other vegetable, actually).
As for meal prep vs food prep, I agree with you, for me preparing meal components like this makes way more sense, but on weeks when I go to the office, I do prep full lunches so I can just grab a box/jar in the morning and go. Overall, though, meal prep is definitely the way to go! I also love having meals in the freezer for situations like last week, when my friend got the flu and I didn't have to worry, I just pulled two containers of minestone, a bag of veggie dumplings, a container of pasta sauce and a bag of chickpea burger patties from the freezer and suddenly I had a variety of home-made food to bring her without needing to take the time and effort to shop and cook.

Love the idea of food prep & not meal prepping. I cannot eat the same thing every day. Found your channel today & subscribed about 1/2 wat through. Thanks for the great recipes!

Loved the food prep! So many great ideas! I was just diagnosed with PCOS so I’m trying to prioritise protein and whole foods. I’m going to make a lot of these recipes. Looking forward to the next video as always. ❤
