Living in San Luis Potosi Mexico!

In this video, Marc and Paulette share why they made the move, how they navigated the residency process, and what life is really like living in Mexico. From settling in beautiful Morelia first to finding their dream home in San Luis Potosí, they discuss the highs and lows of their relocation experience, including adjusting to the local pace of life and handling Mexican bureaucracy.

Their monthly cost of living in Mexico, converted to USD at 19.50 MXN/USD, includes around $600 for groceries, $150 for dining out twice a week, $70 for electricity every two months, $90 for propane every six months, and about $12 for water every two months. They also pay $60 per month for Starlink internet, and Marc’s surgery, paid out-of-pocket, cost them $1,900 USD.

I'm friends with Marc and Paulette. We met online when I lived in Guadalajara. I was a subscriber to their channel The second time that I moved to Mexico I lived in San Louis Potosi where they helped me find a place to live. Through them, I met some lifelong friends (including them). We all had a blast together. there were six of us Americans who went out for breakfast every week. I will always remember my months in SLP with great fondness. Although I have been in SE Asia for over 2 years, if I ever move back to Mexico, it will be to SLP.

Really great interview. We knew Marc and Paulette before we decided to retire and come to Mexico. They introduced us to San Luis Potosí. We loved the area and purchased a apartment there. Through their friendship and knowledge we found a great home and had wonderful experiences.

I loved this interview. I follow both mx relocation guide and two travellers in Mexico. I am a permanent resident now, but have yet to make the permanent move. The experience of Marc and Paulette actually immersing into the culture full time was invaluable. Thank you so much

I’ve been watching Marc and Paulette on YouTube for a few years. I’ve always enjoyed their informative and often entertaining videos. When I visited SLP in early 2021, I sent them a message on either YouTube or Facebook, not thinking for a minute they would answer me. Imagine my surprise when they wanted to meet! We ended up having dinner a couple times during my vacation and they even asked me to do a video! We’ve stayed in touch since then and I even visited them on another trip when I visited Leon. I hope to meet up with them again soon. Their videos are great because they are REAL. They share their own experiences and show what it’s been like for them, moving to, adjusting to, exploring, and embracing Mexico. So great to see them on your channel!

We began following Marc and Paulette over two years ago on their Two Travellers in Mexico channel. They have such great content, and were nice enough to host us as we continued on our journey to find a home in Mexico. They showed us around SLP and are super nice people. I frequently reach out to them for guidance and their suggestions are always spot on. I can’t wait to visit them again! This episode was very informative, I was excited to see them on the Mexican Relocation Guide channel.

Hi guys, Our names are Steve and Pam and we moved to Mexico in 2022, to the Lake Chapala area. We had watched Marc and Paulettes videos and had some interactions with them online. Our first trip down we came through Nogales down the 15D, a year later we made a trip back north for the holidays and with Mazatlan being hot with cartel activity at the time we drove down from Eagle Pass, and stopped in and met Marc and Paulette in person. They are great people and so welcoming, making us breakfast and having a nice visit. Living in Mexico is a learning experience for sure, lucky for me I speak Spanish which is a big plus. We too moved outside of the Gringo land, and have more interaction with the Mexican people in the small town.

Cool I have been following Marc and Paulette for a long time. They are good people. Morelia and SLP are 5 hours driving, that is a long drive to pick up a forgotten item.😂
