How to Fix File is too large for the destination file system for Pen Drives and USB Storage Drives

Shows How to Fix File is too large for the destination file system and transfer files more than 4GB to Pen Drives like San disk, HP etc.
Many times when we try to copy or transfer large files more than 4GB to Pen Drives or USB Flash Drives, we get an error "File is too large for the destination file system." You simply can not transfer large files like more than 4GB to Pen Drives or USB Flash Drives.

Reason for the error - "File is too large for the destination file system" & How to transfer larger files more than 4GB to Pen Drives or USB Storage Drives.
The main reason for this error "File is too large for the destination file system" while transferring large files to the Pen Drive or USB Flash Drive is their File System Format. Which is generally FAT32 by default.
FAT32 file system only allows less than 4GB file to be transferred to Pen Drive or USB Flash drive. That's why it is important to change the file system of Your Pen Drive or USB Storage Drive to NTFS File System. As NTFS File System doesn't have any file size limit for transferring. So that You can transfer files more than 4GB to Pen Drives or USB Flash Drive and may not face error "File is too large for the destination file system".

Solution: How to Fix File is too large for the destination file system & transfer files more than 4GB To Pen Drives or USB Storage Drives.
1. Right-click the Pen Drive from Devices with removable storage and click the "Format" option.
2. Here from option "File system" select NTFS
3. From option "Allocation Unit Size" select DEFAULT ALLOCATION SIZE.
Click on Start.

Now You can easily transfer files more than 4GB to Pen Drive or USB Flash Drive. This way You can easily fix File is too large for the destination file system.

Guys, if anyone wants to not lose their data, simply follow these steps, it worked for me perfectly and i copied my file into the pendrive

Go to the Start and Type CMD.
Right click on it and open with "Run As Administrator".
Now note down the Drive letter for your USB. Which is L, and then type this simple command in Command Prompt.
"Convert (YOUR DRIVE LETTER): /FS:NTFS /NOSECURITY".
Hit Enter. Once you type and hit enter, cmd will start the file system conversion on your USB and after some time it will show the "Conversion complete"
Now if you go to the properties and check the file system, it will show you "NTFS" leaving all your data available on USB intact.
