Steve, you said the edge of the range basket was lined up with the outside of the ball, but how far back is the edge of the basket from your trail foot? Great tips & instruction, Steve!

thanks Steve. i picked up around 20 yards. i normally hit about 220. I was kinda frustrated but with this Im around 240 sometimes around 250. so thank you for the tips.

Steve, I have also been watching your videos and working on an inside to out swing using your bucket drill. I am getting a bit longer but also starting to get a draw as well. Had my first eagle last week on a short par 4 where I hit my drive pin high just right of the green and then chipped it in. Thanks and keep the videos coming!

I am 5'8" tall, I recently cut my driver length down to 44.5" and my best carry distance now is ~210 at range. I got feeling that my distance can be further improved if I trim my driver again down to 44" since I always lower my grip a little to get a better distance and control.

Ok. I’m happy to report that these tips are helpful and getting some extra yardage on the simulator yesterday evening with the driver . I’m still getting higher spin and launch angle than I should. Hopefully these come down soon. Stats on my last drive was club speed 105 / ball speed 154 / launch angle 19.4 / backspin 3557 / carry 236 yards and 7 yards roll for 243.

Steve, when I move the ball forward I hook the ball. Almost like moving it forward in the arc and catching it as the club swings around me. What can I do to accommodate both a forward ball position and straight shots?

I wonder if I need a lower loft? I use 10.5 and hit it around 260-270

I doubt that @ 66 y/o, I can hit 300 yd drives. I don't see many Champions Tour players hitting 300, either. Longer is better, but only if you can find the ball. Mike Austin was unique in his swing, and is technically advanced beyond most people's abilities. Love your videos.

The spin rate on that drive was a little low, 1287rpm. I used to tee the ball high, but working on the numbers brought it down to that half above the head, slightly less upward strike. better numbers in spin (2200-2300) and better distance with a 9⁰ Driver. But that's me; not everyone is the same after all.
