Take Your Chess Skills To The Next Level With High-Quality Courses

In this video lesson, you will learn the 3 most important chess middlegame principles that will help you find the best moves with ease.

The middlegame is often a confusing stage for many chess players because they’re unsure what to do and which plan to follow. It’s not that they can’t find good moves, but rather, they see too many options and struggle to choose the best one.

Should you bring your rooks and queen into play, maneuver your pieces to increase their activity, or break open the center with pawn moves? What is the best plan during the middlegame stage?

That’s exactly what you’ll learn in this video lesson. You’ll discover the top priorities of the middlegame and how to identify an effective attacking plan with clarity and confidence.

Thanks for sharing these tips Igor and for free. I don't think many people realise the energy and time it takes to produce, edit and upload content like this. I've noticed a difference in my gaming now thanks to these tips very noticeably. Learning how to crush the scholars mate has been fun also... Although I do understand actually I should look at my emotional injuries more now as to why I feel like crushing anyone in competition is something I get joy from because that's definitely not a pure motive to say the least.

If you listen to Igor’s advice and actually practice it (play longer time controls!) you will definitely improve.

He is one of the best chess teachers and it’s because he understands everyone’s thought process and can communicate it.

Take his advice to heart and practice it until it becomes second nature. 👍

This is a very nice video to step further after the opening. In the same position, I would have played center pawns and I realize just now that this is not the best option and we can have more fun and get more aggressive position by moving our heavy pieces more appropriately in priority.

Great advice! This will be the next thing I try to focus on. It’ll help with my middle-game planning.

Ask every piece for best move they want to make, and prioritise these moves.
Avoid pawn moves 90% of the time.

You're shared wisdom has brought me from only knowing how the pieces move to a 500 rating in 5 months, your insights and communicative skills are great for players who don't have a lot of XP.

I agree with the other comments, amazing content! And the amount of time you put into the videos is incredible

In the first example, can't we go nh4 first as it opens up the queen as well as the rook and puts pressure on the king's side?
