I formatted my pc after setting EFS encryption to some files, I did a clean Windows install, I didn't know I mght lose access to my files this way; are my files lost forever?

This 'works', in that you can check the encryption status of the drive is, and it indicates that it is no longer encrypted. However...it doesn't fix the problem. Trying to boot a Linux USB, you can fiddle stuff to get it to work, but then are hit by the cursed 'recovery key' ransom, when you try to boot back to Win 11. So, whether there is 'encryption' anymore, or not, it won't get rid of the MS ransomware! So, what ELSE has to be done to fix this?

This you can do only if you log in to your system. When Login pin doesn't work and all drivers are locked....you have no solution than to format and loose all data's. Am I right.
