How To Turn Off And Disable BitLocker Encryption In Windows 10
Показать описание
In this video I'm showing you how to turn off and disable BitLocker Encryption in Windows 10. The process is very easy to do, just type in Manage BitLocker in the Windows 10 search tab, select Manage BitLocker and select the required option as I have done in this video.
There are many reasons why you may want to do this. I needed to do this because with BitLocker on, I could not dual boot my Windows 10 PC with Android X86 Phoenix OS because BitLocker requires Secure Boot to be enabled. With Secure Boot enabled, this means that the PC will only boot into a secure operating system such as Microsoft Windows 10 or other versions of Windows and to dual boot into anything like Android OS, Phoenix OS or even Linux, Secure Boot Control has to be switched off and disabled. With Secure Boot Control turned off, Windows using BitLocker will not boot up, hence why I had to turn off BitLocker.
Also if you are trying to find out how to turn off BitLocker in Windows 11 you may want to try this process. I've not tested it myself, however, I would think that running the search 'Manage BitLocker' in the Windows 11 search bar will bring up something similar.
