My parents taught me you always pull to the side of road if possible which I still do to this day for a funeral procession

You do need orange flags on each vehicle. Not many funeral processions in Michigan so you have to follow the rules to make drivers aware, if they are not aware then yeah people get mad if people are going slow

It's not only the law but it's called being respectful, there is no "good excuse" for this person to be doing this, I'm betting it was teenagers in a stolen car 🤷
