The sound here is audible, but a bit grainy for the first five minutes. The issue is corrected around the five minute mark.

Lord we thank you for Andy his family all the elders and saints at SLBC. Keep him humble and with that the anointing upon his life. May he continue to depend on the HS for guidance and understanding of the Holy Scriptures. Give your angels charge over the saints there as well as the remnant that inhabit this world. Love you Jesus 😊

I don't even know what Neo-Calvinism is, why do people make the Gospel so complicated? Is it to show off their intelligence? Knowledge puffs up, Jesus never talked about this.

Sound is muffled. Highly unusual for Andy Woods Ministries. Message is getting through, however! 😅 Is understandable.

Mr Woods, I have been praying for someone of note to explain Calvinism. I have been
avidly listening to certain teachers recently. A lot of it I did think biblical. Now, since it
is new to me, I know that I need a lot of the CONs of IT. Thank you thank you so much,
I am reassessing my views. AMEN Give us more and deeper outlooks.

Christian " perfectionists" almost always develop a lopsided view of relationships. Their tightly wound psychology can't flex in the direction of grace and therefore there is no wiggle room to view themselves or others from any other paradigm..This is why neo-calvinism becomes their prefered doctrine of choice. It offers them meaning in respect to their prideful extrabiblical formulistic ideations. ( the assertion of internal logic over biblical context to build a new meaning separate from sound doctrine. Biblical Grace is dangerous.. too messy for them and must be delt with .. nothing that the "law" can't handle .

I still get upended in faith re: losing salvation, pastor. Do all those who say *lord lord* really not know Jesus as Savior,

I accept the parts of Calvinism that says total depravity, election and and I’m a bit hung up on lordship salvation. The Bible makes it clear that we should be able to know them by their fruits. Also, if they are backslidden, even as I have been over the years, if the are Christian should they not then be able to accept reproving, admonishing and edification from a brother/sister in Christ? I think there may be such as is in the neo-Calvinist movement that takes some things to an extreme. Personally, if I didn’t marry a doctrine or theology to scripture then I will question it or deny it altogether. Let scripture interpret scripture.

My uncle says Calvin was a better economist than a theologian because frugality was apparently one of the ways you knew you were part of the elect.

Great teaching as always Andy - thank you so much. The question I struggle with is not so much God predestining anyone before they are born or that we are all given free will to choose. Im completely in agreement with what you explained and can see this being the scripural position. Its the point that it just seems unjust or an unfair position that some are born with more opportunity than others to be exposed to hearing the gospel to be able to accept. Whether that be geographically located or when in history someone was born. I know ultimately God's thoughts and ways are way above ours and He will judge perfectly but I'm finding it tough to grasp the fairness of unequal opportunity.
Thank you again.
